Gap khakis just might be the most easily wrinkled article of clothing ever. I love the way they fit, but I can iron them and by time I get to work they look wrinkled.

Do they sell products to remove wrinkles or make pants more anti-wrinkle? Do they work?

I have some downey wrinkle releaser but I can't say I've found it works well (and its scented). try starch?

Nope, I think that goes to H&M button downs. Tried washing them a couple times and they always came out accordioned.

Makes me want a denim jacket

[quote="Pilgor, post: 38737942"]The weight of a square yard of the denim. Heavier denim is made with thicker yarn, and is significantly stiffer. I have a pair of 22oz, and they still feel like cardboard after 6 months of wear. 10 and 12 oz denims are pretty light, but once you get to 15oz and above, it becomes noticeably stiffer/tougher.

From my experience, the heavier the denim, the better the fade.

These are 22oz.

Eh, considering that Margiela hasn't actually be a part of MMM in a few years and it is H&M I'm pretty skeptical. I'll still go and check out whatever they have though.

everlane just revealed their weekender bags and i'm a fan. i'm leaning towards the black and grey ones but wanted to ask manshion gaf which of those two colors would be most adaptable/versatile to a wardrobe.

Welcome back Alucrid glad to see your ban wasn't a long one.

Thanks, only a week luckily

I like Navy, Grey or Black. They pretty much go with whatever and I think the olive/light grey one with the orange strip would be the hardest. Then again they are just luggage so I don't tend to think too much about it.

Did they announce a price/date on these yet? I have $25 in credit and will prolly use it towards one.

Those bags are nice. I could use a new one and that gray one looks fantastic.

Ya, know Im gonna have to steal that color/combo Luckyboyceo. I friggin down with it.
Yeah, man. Blue/Pink is one of my favorite Summer color combinations. You'll definitely get some compliments.

Nice casual look. Off topic, but what do you do camera-wise for your fit pics? Just self-timer tripod somewhere or does someone take them for you?

Florsheims fit true. I have a pair of the Florsheim longwings. Even the Florsheim "meh" lines are likely to be better than Steve F'n Madden.

I wish I could still wear ankle-high boots. I had a pair I really liked but between the snug-fit over the achilles tendon, my low arches and a ton of walking on concrete I got tendinitis and bone spurs on my heels. Now I can't wear anything over the tendons without seriously aggravating them.

Hey guys, I have a quick question. Sorry if has been asked a million times, I didn't search through the thread.

How the hell do you pick out shorts? It seems like no matter what, my shorts won't fit in a week. I can't tell if it is because I'm incompetent or the shorts I buy are of inferior quality or what. My weight doesn't fluctuate by too much so that's not it.

Should I buy shorts one size larger so that they shrink and fit correctly? Should I buy ones that fit perfect in the store? Should I dry them a specific way?

I know materials come into play at some point but I'm not entirely sure how. I know cotton shrinks, but that's about it.

Thank you in advance, any and all advice is appreciated.

Im a poor bastard and can only afford stuff from H&M/Uniqlo etc but I buy them to fit and when they go through the wash they fit fine after?

Saying that I got a pair of shorts in size 30 last week and im normally a 32 so that was abit odd but genrally a size smaller or larger would not fit whatsoever.

Maybe you are washing them wrong? Other than that I have no idea.

Help!

So I've never been do a wedding in my life as far back as I can remember, and I have my cousin's to attend in a few days.

I actually don't know the dress code yet, but I already know the basics. Don't dress more than the groom, suit/blazer/sport coat with shirt, pants, shoes, and tie, no street clothes. No white coats in the evenings, and no tuxes (if needed) in the mornings. Dress down ever so slightly if outdoors and hot.

Thing is, this is a Chinese wedding, and these rules may or may not apply. Regardless, does anyone have any advice?

Unless the invite says 'black tie' you should just wear a suit/formal wear, and be sure to wear dress shoes. Not much more to it than that, you actually see quite a range of formality at weddings, you won't feel out of place.

Can anyone recommend me a stylish looking backpack for ~$50? I just moved to NYC so my ratty ass North Face isn't going to cut it anymore.

If it's a traditional Chinese wedding you're going to see a lot of red pink and gold and it will be opulent.

If you are western you shouldn't feel obligated to wear something to fit in. A plain muted suit, a tie and dress shoes. Feel free to wear a colorful shirt and tie so long as it's not something outrageous. Might want to avoid black or navy blue and white.

I'm going on vacation this Saturday and need some real "no-show" socks. I have a pair of suede bucks and I don't want any sock showing. The Hanes "no-shows" and other brands from Target or Sears still show.

Does anyone know any retailers that have them? I'm in Chicago, if that helps.

youre looking for loafer socks. try amazon. as far as brick and mortar stores go, a quick google search showed banana republic and jcrew as the top hits.

this is awful but you could probably get these in the women's section of say, Target. I've borrowed my wife's in a pinch >.<

Give me some recommendations for brown and black dress shoes that aren't way expensive. I'll be wearing them with khakis/black pants and polos mainly. :p

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I can't seem to find where to purchase them. Is it part of their "secret shop" that I have to invite my friends to in order to gain access?

Yeah, it's part of the insider program. You don't get into it by invites though, it was the first 250 people who signed up and recently they added 250 more randomly from the top 1000 customers.

I'm American Chinese, with a stronger emphasis on the American part.

I read something about avoiding black and white. Any insight to why? I'm only saying this because I was thinking about wearing a black suit with a red button down. I've been looking for a blazer/dinner jacket forever, but I haven't seen one in a color or design that I've liked, and I'm thinking that it might be too late to get one at this point.

I'm not insecure, I'll give it a shot.

Thanks, I'm in a pinch so I can't wait for Amazon so I'll check Banana Republic. The J. Crew I tried didn't have any.

Payless has those loafer socks for men and women. Last time I stopped by to get some, there was an entire 4-foot section of them, heh.
