Agh, how do you guys deal with wrinkles? I ironed these new Gap Khakis last night and by the time I got to work this morning they look like I've been sleeping in them or something.

It's normal for khakis to wrinkle- they're not wool dress trousers.

If you're that worried about it, pull up on the legs before sitting down.

Picked up some burnt orange shorts and a white polo with flecks of orange and blue (hard to describe well...)

Shame its pissing it down endlessly here :/ I still havent found a jacket thats light, a light colour and waterproof to a point. I have to endlessly wear my black pleather jacket to avoid getting soaked.

Looking to get some cheapish shoes.

Just for kicks, I'll join in for a WAYWT.

Vintage '80s Levi's jacket
Club Monaco sweater
AA chambray shorts
Vintage leather lace ups (dunno the brand, but they're nicely made and soft as butter)
Random Chinatown handbag

This I like. If you were inclined you could swap out the horizontal striped shirt with something simpler to go with the minimalist tone and attract attention to the jacket more. But I like it a lot man, those shoes are really something.

I almost went with this Calvin Klein gradient sweater, but I liked the brighter contrast of the black and white stripe.

Detail of the shoes (which are really almost olive in color under natural light)

Outlier has, IMO, great shorts, trunks and cargo shorts. The style is just the opposite of flamboyant, and that's one of the main reasons why I think they are great.

The fabric used is very dust/fur repellent and when it gets wet, it dries out very quickly. Also it feels soft, which is always nice.

Overall, the quality is really great, and the only downside to some people would be the price (not for me, mainly because, as I said, I think the quality is top notch).

Cheers.

Anything like these, just cheaper? I'm more concerned with the fit as I'm a skinny guy and I hate most swimming shorts as they are SUPER baggy and look ridiculous on me. I love the cut on these I just would rather to spend a bit less than $135!

Good news for you! I'm a skinny guy too and yeah, just like you, most shorts look baggy on me, but not this one. The fit of those shorts is fantastic.

Besides the quality and how they look, the way they fit is by far what paints a smile in my face every time I wear them.

Sadly, I don't know another brand that makes something similar for a cheaper price. Good luck finding one :)

I don't get ideas from magazines or blogs. I don't treat any source as some sort of fashion Bible. If you look toward any of those sources you're pretty much going to be playing into mass produced, overpriced fashion.

So here are some of the work clothes I bought this weekend. My 40 minute car ride still gives me wrinkles, any tips for avoiding?

The only thing I don't like a ton is the belt. Where do you guys get belts?

Out of the last 5 or so pages, you have some form of fashion that is normal.

Everyone else can go fuck themselves for trying so hard. Men with ponytails are as fashion forward as women with mustaches. Try hards at its finest around here. Shame, handsome dudes too.

Coming from the guy who's only contributions are posts involving two NBA stars who try to be iconic and unique and ultimately fail at it.

You want a sense of style on the NBA level? Search up Kobe Bryant or KG.

I usually wear ties in suits... but non-traditional suits also work well. By that, I mean:

I have mixed emotions about people who dress like they're always ready to climb a mountain on a moment's notice.

That's not fashion, though... that's typical work wear lol.

Redux please urinate in bottles not on this thread. As for me I'm probably more streetwear inspired than most in here but I like high fashion so I check out sense magazine a lot.

Well then, you really showed me haha.

I wasn't trying to show you anything. I was simply stating that if you religiously follow fashion blogs or magazines then a person's fashion comes into question. That may or may not apply to you. What is en vogue is often what is safe. I don't expect anyone's fashion sense to be daring if they're mimicking what GQ thinks is hot right now.

Well there are a number of sites/blogs that cover and discuss the weird, out-there style exclusively. Most people would probably find the aesthetics of carol christian poell or facetasm beyond ugly, and it becomes kind of hard to tell who is doing the following vs leading in these circles.

To my earlier point, GQ is way more than a fashion or even lifestyle magazine. They have fascinating features on completely unrelated topics like the Mossad and most recently the Taliban prison escape. Even their piece of Bieber this month was great.

To you sanuk wearing people, you look extremely lame. Like something off of Gilligan's Island. Like you made the shoe yourself. I want to scream "WILSONNNNNNNNN" every single time I see someone wearing sanuks.
