It's fascinating to see these artists mix their favorite characters (Sonic, MLP) with religion.

Aliens vs. Predator Berenstain Bears is just on the threshold of being so absurd that it nearly crosses into radical. The art sucks (to be fair though, Berenstain bears doesn't give him much to work with), but A+ on the sheer insanity of the subject material. It's like Mister Rogers: Vampire Hunter or something.
Also, Deviant Art Young Earther fails on every single possible level. If you're going to draw shit that blatantly shits on evolution, science, history, logic, go for the gold and draw Jesus riding a Velociraptor or Moses crushing the Egyptians from the back of his Tyrannosaurus. Throw some sunglasses and machine guns into the mix and you've got yourself something that's at least cool-looking that we can appreciate, even if you're asking us to self-lobotomize and go along with your retarded beliefs. Be badass, even if it's batshit crazy.
This guy though? He draws himself having a conversation with a cheerful, talking Earth. It's like he's in the Special Olympics for creationists, except I don't feel bad for making fun of him.

It's both simpler and worse than that. Some manchildren and womenchildren latch onto a movies, TV series, and cartoons and view EVERYTHING through a filter based on one or more favored franchises. They reinterpret things to fit, make terrible art, and are never motivated to branch out or improve because there's just enough insular fandom and people to tell them their colored pencil drawing of Boba Fett as a Lion King character is great.

Dedede's face has me rolling, throw the bad pun on top of that and we have a success right here.
I totally get the second part of this, these people who are 'sonic' freaks and draw everything as Sonic. But why the random combination with seemingly random other bits of fiction? Who is sitting around and goes "I really love The Land Before Time. I know, I will draw them re-imagined as part of a 15 year old cartoon!"
I guess my biggest problem with this threads is that I'm expecting these sad, scary people to somehow make even a sliver of sense. Just ain't gonna happen.
It's a car accident I can't look away from, and I usually find myself laughing at the insanity and poor quality only to keep myself from cringing. The minute you start asking "why" is when your faith in humanity is at risk.
Just embrace the madness and you'll be fine.
