Somehow I didn't realize how close this was. I'm getting excited!
game looks great. but gaf will find something to complain about it and wait for the 15 dollars price.
Oh fuck the badguy from Crow does the VA? Hype through the roof. (He was also great in Syndicate). Glad to see him popping up more in shit i enjoy.
Well its confusing trying to reconcile these three things:
Where am I going wrong here? Is everybody on crazy pills?
I'm wondering why and how you would trade with other players in a game that has no multiplayer or co-op. Yeesh
because somehow I doubt there will ever be a Darksiders 3, but it is what it is.
- MAGs are in. Possessed Weapons [rare&unique weapon lootz] must be fed with other random items to enable them to level up and gain more abilities and damage.
What build is everyone going?

I'm probably going to do caster my first time through seems more safe and less reckless as I'm going to be playing on nightmare
Where did they get those 2 skill trees from?
I wonder will they bring back Liam O'Brien to do at least few lines. He was awesome as War.
As long as we're talking about characters who we want to see again solely because of their voice work in the first game...SAMAEL.
They imply it's the only 2 skill trees in the game.
Pretty sure there's more than just a Necromancer and Harbinger class in the game.

Loot? How is there loot? Will the mechanics be different from the first? IE: Zelda where a limited amount of items had special purposes for progressing through the game.
why can't darksiders 2 show what happens after the darksiders 1 ending? just because it runs parallel doesn't mean it can't have an ending that goes beyond what we saw at the end of ds1
I'm really looking forward to this one. First one was great and this seems to expand significantly.
I really like the Zelda mechanics combined with better-than-Zelda fighting, and the grittier storyline is a plus, too.
I'm a fan of Zelda, but Skyward Sword felt waaaay to "kiddie" for me - the handholding was incredibly annoying, the combat was not fun (for me), and it felt rehashed with the forced revisiting of environments. Boring overworld... I realize this may be a touchy subject so I'll let it go, all my opinion of course.
Darksiders gave me what I didn't even know I was looking for. They took the Zelda formula (I.e. dungeons have new items, bosses, etc.) and coupled it with fun fluid combat and a great story. Cool environments, enemies, dungeons, bosses, items, etc. I loved it. I'm glad SOMEBODY made a "Zelda-like" for those of us who grew up loving it but aren't (obviously) little kids anymore.
And now there's loot!? Day 1. (on Wii U) =)
I hope this doesn't start anything either, but I just have to say:
Zelda's dungeons are way better designed.
So glad I bought this from GMG. $37 for day 1 is INSANE. My console brethren will be paying $60 for a lesser experience. So stoked for this, hope I can pick up DS1 for $5 during the steam sale (I might missed it though, gonna have to wait for a recap if so).
So this is basically God of War meets Zelda meets Price of Persia meets Diablo?

Let's wait AFTER THQ bites the dust to see if Darksiders III will be made or not. And if II is successful, I'm confident we'll see it.
I'll wait for the price drop because it's silly to buy anything full price that I won't play immediately.
Add Legacy of Kain vibes to that, combined with DMC, combined with some of the best voice acting i have heard in recent memory and you have Darksiders.
True, but the first game was Vigil's first game ever. Even though I think Darksiders is one of the most overrated games of the generation, it's still a very impressive first outing for a new studio. I really like the direction they're taking the sequel, beefing up the combat and loot aspects rather than being a straight Zelda clone like the first game, so I'm in on day one.

A lot of people turn a blind eye on this game only because of the art style.
This sounds fantastic, but it also sounds like a completely fucking different game than Darksiders 1.
