Apparently not. I've got another of their games on my phone that's free in the WP7 marketplace: "Flowerz" - pretty damn good (and difficult) puzzle game.

I agree, I prefer the more stripped down (pure) variations:
- 1-Flag/2-Flag
- Neutral/1-Bomb
- KotH/Crazy King
- Oddball
Those are about the only gametypes that should be in Objective.

So I just saw on HBO that that there will be an event in Japan where Halo 4 is playable. So do Europeans also get something? Gamescom still may be a possibility but I'm not having high hopes for that. It's only around 2 weeks till it starts (I think) and we haven't heard a single thing about it yet. Not even a confirmation that they won't be there.

I'm shocked MS still gives two shits about the Japanese market. Even when MS gave them what they love they didn't care, so now all MS has is Halo 4 and Fable so why even bother?
Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't, atleast from my experience.
To answer your question: microsoft.
There are rumors that Halo 4 will be playable at First Look but BS Angel said it's not on the schedule. I don't know.

I'm sure it'll be there, it always is, and it's the biggest MS game of the fall, how could it not be there?
Hoping some 343I's will be at Eurogamer Expo in late September too, I'm going to fly over for it.

I wouldn't think it's such a secret thing but I haven't seen a comment yet by any 343 employee and BSangel never replied to any tweets about it while she did replied to Over's tweet that she didn't know about 343 attending a Dutch gaming event. The Gamescom site also doesn't list 343 as attending which doesn't help much

Guys, think about it. Halo 4 has mechs and Kojima's the sound producer. They'll eat that shit up. Having lived in Japan for seven years I can validate this.
Cortana/Gravemind minigame storyboarded by Karen Traviss and ability to capture enemies using Promethean Grenades programmed by GAME FREAK to be included in Japanese edition is also recommended

I'm playing Arkham City right now, or should I say attempting to play it. Team Swordbase Oddball keeps pulling me away, but I'm not finding myself anywhere near as hooked to it as I was with Arkham Asylum. The open world style AC just feels like it lacks focus compared to the tighter Metroidvania style of AA. Maybe that's because I just replayed AA before starting AC and I'm simply burned out.

Thermite and I were talking about this a while ago and he made a great point that the Rocksteady Batman games benefit from being more linear. I like Arkham City, but I definitely see how it can not as enjoyable when you throw such a grounded character into an open world.

BS Angel tweeted me a couple of weeks back and said they don't know their plans for GC and Eurogamer yet. GC is pretty close now, and I've been told that MS and Nintendo aren't going to be there. That suggests there will be more of a focus on Eurogamer.
I can see Eurogamer becoming the premiere European games convention this year.

I'm also about to play Arkham City. I played through Asylum last week and loved it despite disliking the first couple of times I tried it years ago.

You're gonna love it, just be wary of the convoluted nature of the side quests in the game.
The game has a tremendous amount of content past the main story line, but it should have presented them in a better, structured way.

From my limited play time so far, I'd say I agree. I'm just not really finding a lot of reasons to go off of the beaten path. There's a crap ton of Riddler trophies everywhere, but half the time I don't even have the proper gadget or upgrade to access it yet. The structure of AA where you're revisiting areas with new abilities encourages me to try to get the ones I couldn't at first. And shouldn't Batman be rushing to his next objective anyways? I mean, he's Batman, lives are at stake here! He wouldn't just waste a bunch of time gliding around while there's an urgent matter going on, but there is no urgency to anything because I can take my time doing whatever. It just doesn't suit the character at all.

Talking about Reach playlists is a dead horse topic, IMO.

They said they would have 360 boothes and definately "the big exclusive titles for this year on the xbox"
It is kind of sad how 343 isn't allowed or just doesn't say anything.
Last year it was the same, no where in a bulletin was something that said Anniversary is at GC but it was.

Yes, it will consist of in-depth tweaks to the most obscure details of the Grifball and Zombies playslist. The team has spent months tweaking the settings to make these playlists the best they can be. It will also rename Super Slayer to Super? Slayer.
Oh, and all Zealot map variants will have space reopened with no soft kill.

That was also one of the things that made me think Halo 4 isn't going to be playable. Doesn't make much sense to me from the view of Microsoft or 343 if they aren't doing a Halo 4 demo at Gamescom but they do it at Eurogamer. I'd think more people from different countries would be able to go to Cologne than to London.
You were there last year too? I don't know anymore whether there was any information about anniversary being at Gamescom. Was pretty awesome and the line wasn't that long.

I understand, but their hands are probably tied until a certain date (if they aren't going I mean). Saying it too early would damage the future relationship between MS & the organisers due to lost ticket interest.*
