Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of The Patriots 2.0 |OT| Kept you waiting, huh?

I know it sounds ridiculous that I'm still asking you this (and please don't take it the wrong way either) but these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=36ZO4MWVpno#t=89s are the enemies (at 89 seconds exactly so please pause it at this time). If you still are 100% sure you never killed them I am pretty much lost as to where you could have gotten the kills. Is it possible that you accidentally used a lethal weapon at any point in the game (or you choked an enemy to death) and then realised your mistake so you died and pressed continue?

Damn.......this could be the anwser for this Act. Thanx man! Thank you man

The trophy guide on the first page is missing the crop circle trophy in act 2.

Hmm?

Mountain Trail
*CUTSCENE FLASHBACK*

As Snake investiages Naomi's footprints there is a flashback where you get to view her feet.

I'm sorry, but I hate these sections. I strongly advise you still explore the area to its fullest and, in addition to this that you kill the enemies and take all of their items and weapons. The only significant thing that must be obtained in this entire area, to my knowledge at least, is the *FLASHBACK* at the crop circle (hich will also unlock the trophy "Crop Circle") before you cross the river and also the Hand Camoflauge after crossing over the river (which itself is not required for a trophy (that is currently revealed anyway). Regardless, there is plenty of items that are hidden around this area (but no hugely important items, weapons is a possibility but again I don't think there is weapons unique to this area only).

EDIT: Oh, wait, you mean the Act Summary at the end? Thanks, I'll add that.

The best thing about sigint is, well, Metal Gear Sigint.

"and there'll be one more person on your team. His name is Mr. Sigint"

Kojima sure knows how to make a game as detailed as one can be.

Secret Theatre was hilarious. Especially loved the one where BB accidentally nukes himself with the C4. Shame they weren't included in the HD collection.

Awesome, didn't even know that the first one existed.
Anyway, isn't there a FaceCamo that prevents Snake from patting his back while crouched or something? Young Snake FaceCamo maybe.

The joy and metal gear stupid (the one of the CIA director handshake) are gold. Goddamn, it was so amazing. Or basashi with the Boss running away steaming like a train lol.

The 5.1 sound is great. The attention to detail in the scenary is amazing. The aim system is awful, clank and slow. Its a game that aged well and bad.

I love the details on the clothing and gear. On the Rat Patrol balaclava's it says 'Sneaking Suit'. I don't know why I love the little details like this, but the game is full of them.

Pretty sure you do. It's not hard, though. The only time you have to use non-lethal ammo is when the BB Corps are in their human form and doing the creepy walk towards you. You can use whatever gun you want when they're in their armor. The only time you're completely limited to non-lethal ammo is the Frog battle in Act 1 after you meet Rat Patrol.

It's the other way around. Because you have to collect the statues during their "beauty" stage.

Considering it's a 4 year old game, it's impressive how they managed to incorporate clothing physics for a lot of the characters. Love the way the ME disguise moves around in cutscenes.

So I was waiting in the same area after getting the drum barrel. I'm doing the hugging a wall for an hour. So these militia infinitely respawn. I began looting their corpses. Trading militia for one of the emblem. I did it for so long that the militia actually won. Granted it took more than 2 hours, but they did it.
I actually wanted to get more loot lol.

Graphically, it's still a stunning game. Even at sub 720p (which is hard to tell at times...). It uses AA doesn't it? The shaders are some of the best in the industry. Instead of throwing those shaders on EVERYTHING like some developers do, they are tactfully placed.

I recently played trough MGS4, and I was amazed how good it looked. That river scene with tons of military... stunning.

The 'View all flashbacks' trophy is such a bitch, couldn't they have made it, like, 90% of them or something? I keep missing the odd one and having to re-set the console :(

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
I have that in already under Act 2 (quite a few times I've stated multiple locations to get emblems) but I must admit that I do prefer to have it in Act 1, solely because it gets it out of the way quickly and reduces the tasks that must but done. The militia have to see the kills to compliment you so you still need to be beside them. If you're not getting them, you can move on. Downtown may prove a good area for this too.

Well, I can get a ration off one of the dead bodies near the truck that is firing on the militia, so I'm going to farm rations there (since really: what else do I need to do in a chicken run? I've got time to kill after all) and give them out for a few hours later this week and then move further into act 1.

So awesome that this patch is getting all this GAF hype for another playthrough. It's like a whole new game on release day. I'm joining in as well. Going for plat or bust. MGS4 2.0: GOTY 2012.

Oh wow. I did not see this coming. My desire to play through this game again is all but gone. I just got to the underground bunker area in the first act and I just don't want to play anymore...

Looking at my old saves.. man, I played this game to death when I got it. This update really is a genuine scenario of being too little too late for me.

I don't mean to rain on the parade or anything like that. I love this game to pieces. I'm just surprised at my lack of desire to advance forward. It's similar to when I got the ICO/SOTC collection (another game I absolutely adore) and feeling completely and utterly tapped out, even though I haven't touched it in a long time.

It just feels weird when stuff like this happens to me.

I noticed that exact thing last night when i was playing. This game still has amazing graphics.

I'm just gonna replay the 1st act over and over after I finish this game again. So awesome.
I miss Cam Clarke. Such a dumb choice to not have dual-voice acting like in MGS 2.

Oh, yeah the action choreography in any of the Ocelot v Snake encounters is really well done.

It was a dumb decision to ever have dual-voices.

The Japanese MGS4 has the Japanese Liquid, not Ocelot though.

It was a bit dumb yeah, but I can see why they did it. It's a quick, easy way to introduce the concept of Liquid taking over Ocelot's body. I'm glad they dropped it for MGS4 though, now it's established.

I do miss Cam Clarke hamming it up though.

I would have been happy with Cam Clarke being the voice actor as opposed to have dual voice-acting.
Btw, I had no idea about the camera easter eggs in Shadow Moses. Some of these Trophies are pretty cool.

Yeah, I'm not too crazy about the aiming in this game. I haven't played it since I finished it back in 08 but I forgot how the aiming feels a bit sluggish.

The game still looks great, even if it's from four years ago. Aiming aside, I'm enjoying playing through the game again. No way am I even going to attempt the platinum in this though.

The modern controls is one of the worst gashes in the face for the game. Really, I blame Ryan Payton for the downward slide MGS4 caused until Peace Walker happened. :/

AC!D's aside, since he had nothing to do with those.

I don't think I got the message that MGO was deleted from my HDD? Where do I check that? Game Data or Save Data? I'm guessing Game Date

Where do I get the Emotion mag? Drebins only got playboys.

Also for the vomit flashback, do I only have to do it in one Act, or 1 and 2?

He sells them in act 2.

You can do vomit flashbacks in 1 or 2, in 1 do it outside in the battle before you meet up with Meryl, in two do it on the roof of the mansion with the turret.

Re-playing this has got me so hyped for the (probable) MGS5 announcement later this month. Can't wait to see what direction they're taking it in.

Thanks, I'm starting Act 2 now. I'll do it then. Going for a non-lethal playthrough, so I'll make a seperate save.

Also I used the Plug, but no trophy. Was that only a trophy on the fake list?

Did they ever reveal the budget of MGS4? Playing it again, I can't think of a single game that competes in terms of the production standards of this. There are better looking games certainly, considerably so, but every minute seems tenderly rendered. It must have cost a fortune.

It's like a brand new game again! Very refreshing to play this again. I had forgotten how awesome MGS4 is. Can't wait to get back to it tonight.

Tap R1 3 times, Snake will do a punch, punch, flying knee combo, make sure the guard is facing you.

Pretty sure you have to hold down R1 on the third press.

Looks like disguises still can't be used in other acts :( That Act 2 disguise is awesome, makes you look like Naked Snake if you use the Young face camo.

Still bummed about them not including an updated MGS1 sneaking suit or
Big Boss trenchcoat (or BB face camo for that matter).

I know that natively, the game is sub-HD, but I have to give them credit - whatever trickery they're doing to upscale it to 1080p looks damn good. The IQ is really great.
