Yeah, I was trying to think about which name would grab the most attention, one of the reasons why I liked Space Oregon Trail. Most of the other suggestions seemed like fun injokes for people who already played the game.

Why slugs? Mantis invasion with 4 mantis is rather unbeatable annoying.

Got a real lucky run. Had 45% evade, anti-missile drone I, anti-ship drone I, Artemis, Burst Laser II, Hull Laser I and an ion bomb teleporter activated simultaneously. Even the flagship had difficulties making any damage, except for that one time I forgot to activate my defense drone.

Took it down with relative ease. On easy mind you. Don't even wanna think about touching normal.

Yeah, always try to lure them there, but sometimes they take down my O2 system before coming to me. Then I am screwed.

With no O2 or shields or weapons, while your ship is being bombarded by missiles. The issue is invaders and missiles destroying your other stations instead of coming to fight at the medical bay first.

They still get through the doors though. Haven't managed to suffocate enemies yet.

They'll take out my 50% evasion with hackbots and then firebomb the shit out of me. Far more annoying to beat than simply venting the ship when mantis come knocking.

Tenth attempt at Easy and VICTORY! What. A. Game. It's been ages since I tried something this rock hard. Good sense of accomplishment, although a lot of it was down to finding a second Blast Laser (or Burst) II for the Kestrel in the beginning. Also managed to fill up the whole crew which made surviving invasions easier (top upgrade doors to put hurt on enemies before putting my assault crew of four slugs to work on them). Still was sweating quite a lot towards the end. Intense.

I've killed many an invading boarding party because of upgraded blast doors. Mantis ones too. It seems there is a RNG element to getting through the Tier 3 doors, again though since we don't have access to the numbers underneath we can't know for sure.

This is the *best* run I've had so far (and it's not even over!)

Managed to get Layout B for the first ship (got the all systems achievement + the heal from 1 achievement in a single run!), the Zoltan ship and the Rock ship!

My ship is also right now incredibly well-equipped, with a l2 cloaking device, a 6 crew members and a few who are level 2.. it's insane.
