Based on Rage, I'd say there is a good chance of that happening. Texture pop-in was present in Rage, but the framerate was extremely solid on PS3.
Both Quake 4 and Prey (other D3 engine games) were ported to 360 with rather poor results (especially Quake 4, which ran VERY VERY slowly) so I'm eager to see what happens when Carmack and crew really give it a shot.
