I remember when Mass 2 came out they talked about on for 3 or 4 pocasts.
They must have been very disappointed with 3.

wait for GOTY discussions. that's where they'll probably talk about it at some point. i think of one of the reasons they didn't get to it was Brad was behind. he was still playing ME2, iirc.

It seemed to me more that Jeff was just tired of all the commotion surrounding the ending more than the ending itself.
There are games worth a spoliercast and there are games not worth it at all.

You can classify the 50% scores from Joystiq and G4 as "hate" if you like.
Maybe on GAF, but the reviewers who liked DA2 never retracted their reviews or their scores. There's no universal hate for it in the press.
I don't think that was a point of contention, I think it was just Marston as best character which caused debate.
The spread of scores are shockingly similar to Deadly Premonition's. And the overall scores on 360 are both 68%.

A mod in the Poli-gaf thread mentioned the Anime threads hit their post cap just under once a month. Its time for us to combine the two giantbomb threads and pick up the pace!
I always thought that combining them would be better...

And its not even at its full potential. I wonder how many posters are like me who watch anime (even current season stuff) but never go in that thread. Its practically its own language at this point with all the tusnderes and uguus. Pretty much impossible to follow
They split because of all the quest stuff was piling up in the quicklook thread but no one cares about that anymore. I imagine most people like things the way they are though

Doom II was great. I want more of that stuff. I'd like to see Quick Looks/Breaking Bads/Endurance Runs centered around older games. 2 or 3 times a year they seem to bust out a bunch of old games but they normally only look at each game for like 10-20 mins and I'd like them to do some more long form content with them whether its like a 60-90 minute QL or something longer.
I loved the Random PC Game: Phantasmagoria thing they did which basically turned into an Endurance Run, Doom II as I mentioned before, and the Olympics stuff where they did fully explore those games. I haven't watched Pokemon Snap yet but I'm really interested in seeing it.

Remember how FFXIII was a critical acclaimed game and then FFXIII-2 appear with lower metacritic score, lower sales compared with X-2 and become the butt monkey of the JRPG jokes?
And It seemed that nobody actually liked FFXIII and the initial praise was kind of undeserved in critics and community alike?

Anime thread could do a lot better if Brad would post in it. For being Giantbomb's Chief Anime/Harry Potter editor he doesn't do a very good job at it.
FFXIII-2 got 79 on metacritic compared to 83 for FF XIII.
Again, no universal hate in the press.

Is it divisive? There is the somewhat cynical question of whether its simply a bad game whose review scores from certain sources have been influenced by the publisher's advertising dollars.
Jokes aside, I'd have actually liked ME3 more if I wasn't so aware of them ignoring my choices from previous games.
My advice for people is to actively lose their saves I think.
I'm watching the RE6 QL, looks like shit, I'm glad we got Shadows of the Damned, not close to RE4 quality, but the only thing resembling a fitting follow up.

As probably the lone frequenter of the anime threads, the thing is that the anime thread encompasses all anime currently airing and just random anime chat. Imagine if there was just a "US TV" thread and you bad Breaking Bad and Homeland and whatever talk all in the same place. Or maybe if they combined all the sports-gaf threads into one mega-sports thread. If you actually broke out those threads and made people stay on topic, the anime thread would be dead. lol
(Also, anime > politics)
Also, is this RE6 podcast thing something on Giantbomb or some other podcast?

They still have a Most Disappointing Game award, right?
I can think of three top multiplatform games not named Mass Effect, but they barely played any of them.
X-Com, Ass Creed, Dishonoured, Far Cry 3, Hitman, Resident Evil 6, Max Payne 3, Darksiders 2, Need for Speed are all / will be better I think.
Sleepy Dawgs as well.
