Pullblox/Pushmo sequel announced: Fallblox

Did he say 90 training levels? :((

I'm not against teaching people how to play the game but the amount they stretched out the simple and unskippable training levels was the worst part about Pullblox.

Sounds like you can choose between "easy" puzzle and "normal" puzzle like Picross.

So cloud textured blocks will not fall, maybe there will be old fashioned pull style stretch types too.

Good, That might be better if the training is separate.

I was struggling to understand Germany's Iwata so I switched on the captions.

Oh sweet Iwata this is good news. I haven't yet finished the original game, but it was quite a fun puzzle romp and an effortless example of how to use 3D in a way that benefits visuals and game mechanics both. Let's hope they segregate the tutorial missions further and allow more experienced players to cut to the meat of the game.

And it's going to be buried inside Nintendo's godawful 3DS shop, the company will not promote it, and nobody is going to play it.

It's so fucking easy to predict Nintendo nowadays.

So yeah like the original which is getting a sale and is in the 3DS essentials folder permanently on the front page?

Pushmo was great. Didn't finish it though.

I wonder how many people did. Game got fucking hard in the latter stages.

I got stuck so badly at one point that I had to take a 1 month hiatus to regroup :P. I did finish it after that though. So satisfying!

Except Pushmo sold really well? Don't know why its sequel wouldn't follow that trend.

Yeah the original probably sold like shit and wasn't pushed at all, that's why we're getting a sequel...

Nice. Though I'm still playing catch up on my 3DS games so I'm not far into Pushmo.

Haha, same thing happened to me. I was scarred by this one torturous level.

When I got Pushmo initially at the Japanese release I pimped it to everyone I knew until the release of it in Europe. Such a good game.

Can't wait for this.

Pushmo already made my head hurt... I don't think I´ll get this one this time.

I'd say this one looks simpler and less mind bending from what we've seen, but I'll probably regret that.

I notice blocks with a cloud marking. My gut is saying that maybe those defy gravity

Yes I mentioned that somewhere, It shows that's correct on the first scene here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fbt8ueeI3kA
'Use the floating block to reach the goal'

This makes the Burger level look more challenging than it first appears. Pulling out blocks will make the ones they support fall, but you need to maintain them to a certain height or you won't be able to reach the floating section.

Pretty sure he said 140 new levels and 90 turainin reveru, but Youtube thinks he says 'nineteen twenty minutes'.

I get the impression that Pushmo was way more popular internationally than in Japan (possibly because the original JP release didn't have the level editor). Is that true?

It was a pretty decent seller, it got 10,000 reviews on the shop pretty quickly, iirc. However, it was also one of the only (good) games released on the platform at the time.

Oh wow, you weren't kidding. Instantly my most anticipated game! Now, dare I return to that darn Boo bonus puzzle that has stumped me since shortly after launch...

I've just checked and...well, it's the best selling eShop since the service launched in Europe.
Oh, and Liberation Maiden just launched and it's fourth in the most recent charts. NSMB2 is sixth. :P

Psh, more like FAILblox, amiright?

OH MY GOD I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS.
