I do think juices has a point - FuD is coming out of the marketing budget - but the marketing budget could get folded back into the game. You can't call him a joke without accepting his argument and rebuttling it.
That said I'm glad FuD exists - so for me it's value added.

The content of the limited edition seems a bit on the shallow side. If it wasn't cheaper to get the wargame pass with the LE than buying all the DLC, I would've gone for the standard edition.

I dont see myself even touching the reach campaign ever once halo 4 comes out - I might go on it to compare the mechanics in a sort of look at this train wreck way - but yeah #reachforgotten

Can't believe it's only 2 weeks till launch. I think this is the first Halo game I actively followed but for which I'm barely hyped.
I guess there's a good thing to that. I should be able to better focus on school stuff (lol) and when the game comes out, it'll either be as expected or I'll be pleasantly surprised.

When budgets are discussed and set and then later in review meetings. Probably not the same everywhere but I have seen an instance where the marketing pot was dipped into for Dev, that was in a very very small project though and so absolutely isnt indicative of how projects generally go. I also know why that probably would never work for 343
My point is, even though you don't like his posts he has put his argument across - just typing "you're a joke" is a pretty shitty thing to do on the net - rebuttal his post and put your argument across, or don't post at all because a post like "you're a joke" adds no weight to a conversation.
I see where he comes from with his opinion but I do see where the logic in his argument breaks down - I also like the end product 343 has given us so I dont agree with him - his opinion isn't a joke though.
Also totally just tried to buy Halo 4 - was met with a pretty hostile "uh yeah - when the game is out" lol! Thought I would try my luck seeing as though there is a bunch of advertising at this shop.

That's like, a good idea, and one not already over exposed in the genre today.
Steelbook looks nice; I know I bitched about the game after the Infinity video, and I still think the multiplayer's devoid of brave, daring design, but I'm so excited for the campaign and Spartan Ops that I'm sticking with the LE. I'll bite the bullet. If I bought Reach's, I'll buy Halo 4's.

At what point will you guys say "okay, now im happy".
For me a Halo game that plays better than reach has good fun matchmaking and competitive play will make me happy and i don't think i'm in the minority with that view.

Took close to 4 months for me to get accepted.
What? The Season Pass is $25. If that's all you care about, you could get the standard + Season Pass for $85, which is $15 cheaper than the LE.
The approval process here is bizarre and seemingly random. I understand that they do it in infrequent batches, but it seems like some people can get in almost right away, and others wait forever. For example, I have a friend who would fucking love to post on HaloGAF, and he's submitted two separate member requests and nothing, and I think they're both over a year old. I've seen other people talk about year+ delays as well. It's weird.
Do we know which version of the game is going to be with the Collector Console? Is it going to be a standard version or a bundle copy? In the IGN video, the guy says it's a standard edition, but if i remember correctly, it was a bundle edition for Reach (not sure about 3 though).

Yeah, that's true :lol I figure I'll buy them anyway. I'll probably like the MP even though I think there are some flaws as far as the competitive side is concerned. And if I end up hating the MP and not wanting to buy any of the DLC, I'll probably sell the map pas thing.
I don't live in the US. The LE costs 80 euro's in the Netherlands, standard game is 60 euro's. The map pass costs 25 euro's so that would make it more expensive to buy than the LE. Plus with the LE edition, I get some other crap that I would't get if I bought the standard edition.

It was a Bundle Copy with Reach and i Cant remember what it was with Halo 3 most likely a bundle copy but i dont have a bundle copy of Halo 3 or a Regular so Im not even sure if you got a copy of the game.
Halo 4 looks like its going to be a bundle copy aswell but i could be wrong.

I understand the gist of what you're saying, but what single change to Halo 4 multiplayer should have engaged Halo fans bristling with excitement to crack open War Games?
I don't enjoy being down on that aspect of the game, I really don't, but when the marquee improvements to Halo 4 multiplayer are the removal of some core design philosophies, ones replaced with, and there isn't an argument against this, Call of Duty design philosophies, then it would take a miracle for overwhelming positivity.
