That's one I wish I had more time for, but it's movin' up the backlog. I've actually knocked out quite a few lately, Garry would be proud.

I haven't gotten around to even picking up Hotline Miami, X-COM or FTL. I'm almost sure at least two of those would be on my GotY list; at this rate I'm probably not even going to cast a vote.

Is there anywhere cheaper to grab Gods & Kings? Dat poverty

Only other place I see it on sale right now is Amazon, but it's the same price on Steam. GMG had it up for a few bucks a few days ago, doesn't seem likely it'd repeat anytime soon though.

Huge shout out to dreamfall. An absolute legend for gifting this to me.

With this little bit of prose:
I'm loving his writing so far. On the 3 gifts I've seen he made in the last hour (Vice City, Grimrock and I Am Alive), each comment was written according to the particular style of the game (80's magic, fear of dungeons and will to survive). He gave each one a personal touch, and it was totally cool. If he ever releases a book I'll buy it for sure
on a Steam sale :p

EDIT: wow, now it makes 4 of them, the latter also featuring a personal comment. Man, you rock <3

Those are pretty much the best games of the year, best get on that son.

I could flip the tables and say you have been lazy. There have been no shortage of deals. If you only went to Valve, as your only source of games, you lost out.

Oh no I bought from Steam, Amazon, GMG, and Gamersgate. Just looking at Steam however it seemed like a lot of repeats. I wonder what kind of work and negotiations go into these sales.

Great writing to be sure.

Should I get To The Moon?

I'm a couple hours in. If you're OK with an emotional, story focused experience, definitely go for it. It probably is what some dummies would call a "non-game", though, so be warned. I'm really enjoying it, seems like it might turn out to be a real tear jerker and the piano theme is so great.

Yeah, repeats upon repeats. They know they are the big dog though. Maybe after seeing Amazon/GMG bring it, that will light a fire under their butts.

Is I Am Alive cheaper anywhere? Interested but a bit broke after New Year.

It was cheaper yesterday over at gamersgate, I think.

cross posting from BST thread

Yeah, don't.

If there are any Civ V DLC masters around, would someone mind looking over this and seeing if I'm missing anything? I don't apparently have the GOTY edition on Steam, but am I missing out on any content it would provide, or any DLC besides Gods and Kings (which I'm about to buy)?

Oddly enough, the Mongols DLC doesn't even show up on the Steam store as far as I saw. Was there some sort of silly outlet-exclusive DLC that I've forgotten about by now, and no way for people who didn't buy from that outlet to get it?

Alright if it bothers you all that much i'll remove it

the thing is

a. this thread is busy enough as it is, if everyone could peddle their wares it could get unreadable

and

b. that's a deal that's honestly not gonna benefit anyone, DXHR is on sale pretty much every other day and could very well be featured at the same price you're offering in several hours if it wins the vote

Looks like you have everything worthwhile there.

Don't remember where the Mongols DLC came from though.

edit: Looks like Mongols is free dlc that installs automatically with steam.

I'm feeling generous. To The Moon is my GOTY.

If you're interested in playing it and--for whatever reason--can't afford to buy it right now, PM me (with your Steam ID) and I'll pick out a lucky winner to gift a copy to.

Seems to be, I am missing Korea and ancient wonders myself but everything else you have matches whats in the GOTY edition

As far as I'm aware, you have everything. The Mongol/Genghis Khan pack is free DLC that was rolled into Civ V subs.

Edit: Beaten.

You should just add all the DLC to the cart and it will say whether you own it or not, the only one that won't say it is the wonders of the ancient world for some reason

I pulled the trigger on Kotor 2, To the moon, and Magica. I feel like I should have held off on magica but my friend plays it all the time so when I get my new computer I'll want to give it a run.

I didn't realise it was $25. I just noticed it and I would have bought this for DSII + others. I even bloody bought metro2033 (sucker!).

well, THQ bundle bought. Well, I'm going to say, holy ffing shit. that was cheap.

It has been priced at $25 since the beginning, or near the beginning of the sale.

Edit- Beaten by Catpee. And I know the feeling dude!

Quick question for anybody who might know: Is Civ IV: Colonization significantly different enough from base IV that it's worth picking up?

Also, is it any good -- loved the first one, especially dat music.

Ugh. So waited on FE until it went on sale today. Downloaded. Crash on startup. Exit Steam. Try again. Crash on startup.

Apparently FE is a buggy mess from what I can gather via Google searches.

Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.

So I bought Might and Magic: Heroes VI Gold yesterday. This morning I wanted to try it out but when I start the game in steam it just turns on Uplay. That would not be a problem, if not for the fact that all my games are gone from the Uplay thing. I have put hundreds of hours into Anno 2070 but that is gone aswell.
What the heck Ubisoft???!!!
