The minute I saw "colfax ave" I was like "wait a sec, Colfax?"

Then I saw Denver, and burst out laughing. Never thought I'd ever see Raiden driving on the i-25!

I haven't heard him in anything else; all I know is his sniveling, nasal voice is terrible in this. Would have been great if they pitch-shifted it and also cyborg'ed it up with some filters. But we can't have that. The mediocre, awkward voice acting of the MGS series must be upheld.

He's pretty good in No More Heroes and Mass Effect, although that's a pretty small part. Sounds totally different too.

Yeah, because nobody ever wanted a game where they could play as Ninja Raiden doing the crazy shit he did in MGS4 cutscenes.

Ya, WTF. I mentioned that before. I'm from Colorado Springs and that was pretty weird to see.

Raiden just wants our legal mary jane. That's what the game is really all about.

No I get, the story right now looks shallow and cheesy, but that's the fun in it . It's like watching a summer blockbuster you know will be shit, but you watch for the action or humor. Hell, movies like that are on most top movies lists. It's weird how hack n slash dismemberment cyborg with an edge is fine to play as, but not good enough to watch in a cutscenes. Just loosen up, give it a chance at least watch one.

Am I the only one who finds it weird that Raiden's inner monolgue is almost Batman-levels of gravelly, and yet his speaking voice is smooth and calm?

I was only referring to the atrocious cutscene, not the gameplay. It's fine and understandable that some people are interested in this, I could just imagine that first impressions by a general audience would think this game was low quality or C-tier, thanks to the shitty cutscenes.

Also, I wanted to make a joke that included nanomachines and Jack & Rose.

Even if you don't like the story, there's enough awesome shit going on in Platinum Games cutscenes to be totally fun to watch.

Raiden has a good VA imo, basing this off MGS2/4. That batman impersonation however is shit. I blame the voice direction for that. Raiden really seems out of character in the trailer as well. Who the fuck is this person? I already see the story being a bigger train wreck than the Metal Gear series has ever produced.

The combat looks good though. Honestly Koji Pro should have handled sound design/music/story.

that driving scene looked way off to me. Kind of reminded me of those Chinese 3d reenactments. (I think it was Chinese, wasn't trying to offend if it wasn't)

MGS4, Peace Walker, and MGR are all equal amounts of stupid that go far above and beyond fat guys on rollerskates and growing bees in your stomach.

Game looks fun though.
