Hoping it would be a Steelbook like U2/U3. Will probably opt for the Ellie edition.

edit: GAME Exclusive? Feck off

Papercuts

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.
Oh boy, multiplayer bonus experience and melee booster attacks to give an edge! Sounds like a quality time on that front.

Killthee

helped a brotha out on multiple separate occasions!
Hope this comes out here too and hopefully the Ellie edition won't be exclusive to Gamestop.

On second thought, I hope they come out with something better here. I can do without the canvas wrap, the poster, the comic, and the DS3 skin.

DLC and other digital shit: Do not want.
And the rest of it: why is everything so mini? I want a full glorious artbook or comic.
Oh yeah and stickers. Wow, iam not a elemental school kid anymore to tag my toys with stickers.

And for this package they want us to pay around 100€. What a rip-off.

I'll buy the game on DAY1, but this kind of Limited Edition makes me wonder what makes it so special?

Yikes. Way to destroy any kind of tone and atmosphere set by the SP by having a multiplayer that has these things. Post-apocalyptic world; fighting for survival..and people running around leveling-up.

Yes, you can ignore the MP but this is one of the things that just knowing it exists and there's this version of this 'world' is enough to leave a sour taste in my mouth.

I'd prefer to know what the multiplayer is first instead of just dismissing it due to a few leveling elements.

Isn't it pretty silly to try and dismiss something you know nothign about base on a few boosters?

Also, in case some forgot:
"The Sights & Sounds Pack" and "The Survival Pack" are preorder extras in the US/Gamestop; so the decal, Sackboy DLC and minibook/art are technically the "limited" things for Europe...at the moment.

I can't wait to prestige in this game.

This is one of those cases where I want to break my creed of DD only. Not doing it, though; give me news on Day One Digital~

Is it me or have Collector's Editions really gone down in value as they've gone up in price? Give me the game, its soundtrack, and a making-of documentary (preferably on Blu-Ray but I'm flexible) and stop beating around the bush with useless pap. LBP unlocks? CONTROLLER SKINS? Come on.

This is Naughty Dog, so something like that will likely be an unlockable extra.

So wait, having a multiplayer component only ruins atmosphere if it has progression systems?

I'd be in the dick
All the bonus in game stuff is what you get with this is what you get at preordering at Gamestop in the US.

This being UK exclusive probably means that the DLC included will be region locked to the UK PS Store like in the Uncharted games and cannot be redeemed in other European countries. That's f'd up.

No. I would have preferred no MP at all in a game like TLOU. If they had went with an option to play the game in Co-Op or have unique Co-Op campaign then it could have been good and wouldn't compromise what they are working hard to achieve in SP.

But when the MP is a competitive 'deathmatch' of sorts then i dislike it in this case. And when it looks to be run-of-the-mill MP with +XX XP points plastered on the HUD and above other player's heads' then it really does a disservice to the highlight of the game.

Seams to be a trend just recently to put out a slightly prettier packaged game and slap "Special" or "Limited" edition on the box and charge an extra £20-£60 for mass produced or digital tat. Even artbooks that are bundled with these are usually the small pocket book type with not much more than promotional artwork rather than conceptual or design work.

Saying that though Namco Bandai have been really good in europe with day one editions with all of the above at no extra cost (Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f) if only more publishers were like this instead of shitty preorder dlc farmed out to your retailer of choice.

I'm under the impression that the multiplayer will have no effect on the single player. Going by Uncharted 2 and 3, that was not the case at least.

I hope they release Digital version (Should be mandatory for every Sony game) Where's God of War, Killzone 2 & 3 and Uncharted 3, digital editions?

If not I think I will buy regular edition. Those big boxes make shelves look uglier.

The multiplayer isn't taking away resources from the single player of that's what you think. ND have said so themselves.

Plus we don't know anything about the multiplayer other than it exists and they wanted to do something unique with it.

Either way I don't see how the multiplayer will ruin the atmosphere of the single player just because of the fact it's on the disk. It's a entirely separate mode that will be good for those who want to play it more than just the single player. Nothin wrong with it.
