Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge confirmed for PS3,Xbox 360

not entirely unexpected, but I won't be buying it until it's £10 used. fuck tecmo / team ninja for not releasing these updates as a patch. fuck them for screwing over purchasers of the vanilla game.

fuck 'em.

How were the load times on Vanilla/Razor's Edge? The load times in Sigma and Sigma 2 were atrocious. I don't know if Team Ninja has learned how to develop on PS3 yet. I'll pick this up on 360 or Wii U if the load times are better on them.

Huge on Razor's Edge. Can't remember how long they were on vanilla.

I have both Sigmas, so I'll wait for the Sigma 3 rererelease to complete my triolology. lol
This RE wont be coming to NA though right?

Is Sigma 2 Plus also at 30 fps? If so, then I'd assume Vita NG3 would be 30fps.

If so, no thank you, Ninja Gaiden is one of the few franchises that plays much worse with lowered fps.

I still can't find any info to the contrary. :/
It's really irking me, because NGS2 runs at sub-native res. If they dropped the res to get 60fps, I'd gladly take the trade off but subnative-res and 30fps....

EDIT:
Speaking of Vita versions. I'm playing Sigma plus right now. Is there any way to get back to the main menu from in game?

Nope.

It's confirmed for NA. Don't expect a Sigma version...unless it's on Vita or something. The only reason Sigma 1 and 2 happened were because they were only on Xbox before. Ninja Gaiden is now a multiplatform series, no reason for them to go back and make another release only for PS3. A Sigma 3+ or Razor's Edge+ is likely for Vita though guess.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Why people think Bayonetta 2 become multiplatform. That's a Nintendo title where Nintendo is funding directly the development. It's a first party title.

because nintendo stole it from the grave and it would have been better there!!!

Rayman Legends without touch levels ? Does the Lego City game make much use of the gamepad ?

Very much, Chase uses the GamePad in-game as a scanner even.

TT said a few days ago that the game would lose things if ported, probably meant in feeling like "it's just not the same" but could also mean key content, like said scanner (you hold the Pad to the TV and you use it as a scanner).

One thing that isn't clear is how many Ninja trials are there in total?

I know the OG release had trials at every one of its difficulties for its multiplayer mode, 33 in total. Then WiiU added the ability to play as The main characters in these trials

Are these new trials more missions that add on top of that?

and willl the tests of valor/ Challenge room/Crystal skull warps remain too?

cus if they do, that is fantastic replay value.

MS funded and published games that went to other platforms. No one knows the contract between Sega and Nintendo. Since Sega owns the IP, I'm sure they can do whatever they want with it once the contract ends or they give the game another name and add stuff to it to make it slightly different.

Being a big fan of previous Ninja Gaiden games, playing NG3's demo taught me that one person's influence (or the lack of it) can change a game to where it is essentially a totally different product.

I don't get why people think there's another exclusive going multiplat? I guess because of that one guy (who, as far as I'm aware, is no more credible than other random person) who dropped by and said the Wii U is losing another one?

Ahh I think ive worked it out....

In razors edge, the Ninja trials are done by the main characters only so it will 58 trials in total in the 360/PS3 version

then you have the clan battle with the generic ninjas which is the free-for-all mode.

On top of that you have a Test of valor in every level....8 in total.

so this game has 65 missions outside the main game and each level can be played by each character in chapter challenge mode as well?

on top of that each trial can be played solo and co-op?

and they average 10 mins each?

Your issues with the vanilla release aside, This is by far the most content rich action game this generation.

long as you can stomach hayashit's downgrades in combat, you could comfortably play this game years from now.

No. There are 100 missions, just like the Wii U version. Missions can be played with either a custom character or one of the main characters.

Fuck me!! and then you have 25 exclusive ones on top of this?

nah, I don't care what anyone says, I have to tip my hat off to hayashit. What he has lost in quality, he has most definitively made up in quantity.

Day 1.

When Nintendo publishes something in a territory, it stays exclusive to Nintendo consoles in that territory. Examples: Just Dance stayed exclusive to the Wii in Japan (published by Nintendo), Goldeneye 007 stayed exclusive to the Wii in Japan (published by Nintendo), and Samurai Warriors 3 stayed exclusive to the Wii in Europe and America (published by Nintendo).

Nintendo published Razor's Edge in America and Europe...so this is Japanese-only.

I think the 25 is a mis-translation. I haven't seen that anywhere else. Notably, the Tecmo Facebook PR announcement doesn't mention it.

I think it's still just 100.

"Just" 100 is more than enough than everyone but the elite NG players.

especially if its 20 for each difficulty.

It took me and my boy over 6 months to beat Ultimate Ninja 4 in Sigma 2.

can you play each mission on your own as well as co-op?

That demon Hayabusa outfit is nuts! Didn't buy vanilla NG3 but will be getting this.

EDIT: Where there any extra outfits in vanilla NG3 at all?

Is Razor's Edge Master Ninja and Ultimate Ninja easier than the original NG 3?

Also are the team missions less cheaper than the original NG3?

Nope, haha. Assuming this has the Wii U costumes too, there are three others outfits for each character on top of these new ones.

The demon Hayabusa is a boss though, so that's not technically new. TN love to reuse assets, lol.

I dunno about vanilla NG3, but Master Ninja is miles easier than NG2.

Well there you go, TK didn't even need to change the name at all to release it to the rest of the world.

That said, was glad that I sold NG3 ages ago. Guess I can double dip on this, as I'm keen on the improvements.

Yup, same. April is Hack You month, most of my time will be going towards that. :3

Hack me? HACK YOUUUUUUUUUUU

I actually don't get that reference. Never played SH.

It's actually really good fun if you like NG. The new characters are an absolute blast too.

It's amazing how much they improved over NG3.

I like NG, yeah. I thought Sigma 2 was awesome, but I only made it half-way through on Easy. Not good at action games.

So April 2 for 60?

Guess I'll set some money aside. Didn't plan on buying anything until the summer after Rising

I probably won't be double-dipping on this since I don't think it's worth a repurchase, but I'm glad it's being made available to vanilla NG3 owners. I honestly rather would've had it on PS3 to begin with.

Playing it on Wii U at least showed me that the GamePad is actually pretty comfortable and more than suitable for fast-paced action titles. That giant brick pleasantly surprised me.

Considering Sega went through a restructure that reduced their retail presence outside of Japan (something they seem unlikely to reverse considering the results thus far), and that they also cancelled the game the first time round, this seems highly unlikely. Before you even get into what claims Nintendo might have on Bayonetta 2.
