Nintendo Downloads - February 2013

Oh boy, Easter Eggztravaganza! Only two more years until the Zelda Oracle games are released.

I'm still bitter over having to wait an entire year for Wario Land 2, and Wario Land 3 still isn't out yet. :/

Don't worry, I'm bitter about the Oracle games and it's only been a week. Delaying things that have been translated for 12 years makes no sense whatsoever. Although...

Oracle Release Dates said:
Game Boy Color
JP February 27, 2001
NA May 14, 2001
EU October 5, 2001
3DS Virtual Console
JP February 27, 2013

It seems they've done this deliberately. Guess we'll be playing them in October *sigh*

Damn, they could've released Pokemon Red/Green in Japan this week, since it released on February 27th as well. That would've been awesome. Guess we'll have to wait until E3.

They could forget that the Oracle titles were spaced out because they weren't translated, which they are now. They're not going to.
Well at least you have the game *grumble, grumble*.
Yeah, you guys got lucky!

Will QA for food.
Ahh as I thought, they were waiting till today to put up the Runner2 demo.

Nice, just played it. I do love Runner, but man, I can't play for very long. Having to focus that much drives my eye sight out of focus. Slightly better playing on the pad than the television, but still.

True. I've already sunk in 40 hours and I have yet to even come close to finishing the game. It has been years since the last FE came out, I intend to play the ever living *** out of this.

50 hours so far. Think I'm on the final level, since it doesn't give a chapter number. Only have like
5 kids
made, so far. Cordelia and Sumia are multiple attacks per turn tanks. Love Second Seal, despite thinking it was pretty useless when just looking at the description initially. Don't even feel like I've barely been playing it with so much still to do. Looking forward to the next play-through already, too. Amazing game. Love it, love it, love it. Nintendo better get more physical copies out there. Don't want them to think that the sales will reach anywhere near their potential, if they only focus on digital. >:|

I felt the same. What I ended up doing was switching between the TV and GamePad every few minutes. That changed up the stimulation enough to keep me from losing focus of the action.

Any impressions of the 3DS eShop roller coaster game?

It sounds like it has a mini-Theme Park creation mode, and I was curious as to whether the game itself was any good.

Just finished Awakening for the first time ever (so good) so bought Oracle of Ages and Seasons, the only other 2 zelda games I've never played.

Yeah, I can't believe they said they're never going to release them in North America.

Oh, wait, they actually said the exact opposite of that.
"We'll put them up whenever we feel like it" is their presumed answer if you're a cynical asshole.

Although honestly, with the way they've been updating we have no real idea when we'll ever see it. Just have to hope it's sooner than later, or they at least pull a Kirby's Dream Land 2 and offer us some sort of collection with it (maybe that collection will make data exchange less of a pain?)

Has NoA actually said anything about them? Saying nothing isn't exactly the opposite of that.

Aonuma on Miiverse said the games would come westward at a later date.

If they really use the GBC release dates as the VC release dates, then that just seems like an arbitrary reason to hold them back when they can just be released now, not to mention it really fucks over Europe with an October release.

It'll be nice to look back on the Oracle GBC VC release and know it was on the anniversary of the game's release. It may be frustrating to wait now (especially for Europe), but you don't get a chance to hit that anniversary date on an actual release day very often. Still think Pikmin 3 launching on Pikmin 1's 11 year anniversary would've been sweet, but the game obviously wasn't finished by then. :(

So another week with nothing new on the Aus/NZ eShop. What have we had so far, is it 2 or 3 weeks where new content has been added since launch. You'd think there's be enough stuff for weekly updates.

Pretty ridiculous how barren the eShop is considering Nintendo has the absolute best back catalog in gaming. They could easily support it with games every week but instead here's some bad indie game once a month. Oh and 30 cent VC games once a month.

I'm really upset the Monster Hunter demo is the only thing I've used the system for in forever. It's a demo!

The Cave and Runner 2 are bad indie games? wat

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
NoA just announced on Twitter next week Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is going to get a demo. Ok, it seems they're serious about 3DS now. And...and I feel Luigi's Mansion could get a demo too.

Really? Maybe Nintendo should wait 3 more years before they release them because the 15th anniversary sound way better than the 12th.
I sure hope those in charge of the release schedule have more common sense.
