Is there an easier way to make grid systems nice and even? really uglies up your city when intersections and corners are uneven

Click on the population number at the bottom of the UI, then details. You'll get all sorts of data on your population, incl. commuters.

When you click your population total at the bottom of the screen, it brings up a menu which breaks that stuff down.

After seeing the same error for what must be the 40th time I think it's finally pushed me over the edge. If I can't get into my city after I get home from some work in an hour I'll pack the disk up and take it back to Best Buy. Thankfully I'm pretty well acquainted with the staff given how frequently I'm in the store so I think I'll be able to at least get some store credit or something.

Aww man, I'm meant to be picking this up tomorrow (from the UK), been watching all the streams and so desperately want to play, I just keep thinking, maybe I'll get lucky and be able to play.... but then reading all these posts about server issues, they just seem to be getting even worse!

Now they've disabled achievements and leaderboards.. what next? So conflicted...

First day: people came home and as expected the european server bombed hard.

Is better go to sleep early and wake up at 4:00 A.M for some smooth gameplay.

The zoning looked nicer in the dev vids I saw, too. I liked the coloured space, not just the border. :(

someone on fb commented on my post on the sim page saying that the beta was suppose to gouge when the game is released. some others were saying it won't be down lol.

I told them in all 3 betas that they needed to test this more. I can't say that I didn't warn them.

I don't think the beta had nearly as many players trying to get in and play.

* Fix for crash caused most commonly occurring on servers experiencing lag. This crash would happen most often when claiming a new city when playing in a region.
* Fix for server select dialog not appearing on start-up if the server the player was last on is not available.
* Disabled Cheetah speed. Cheetah speed is is now the same as llama speed.
* Crash fix for finding closest points.
* Crash fixes in transport and pedestrian code.
* A fix cities having processing problems associated with helicopters.

This is INSANE. I wasn't too miffed about the server instability, but now they're taking features out of the game. Cheetah speed is a pretty huge feature. Gonna be waiting so much longer for the simoleans to come in.

Dang. I've participated in 3 paid betas so far with 3 out of the 4 major PC releases I've had in the recent past: Final Fantasy 14, Diablo III, and now SimCity.

XCOM was the only game that was fucking awesome, 98% of the time. Fuck I love XCOM.

<3 Firaxis. Jake Soloman can have my babies.

To be fair, though, I did end up spending a lot of time eventually with FF14 and Diablo III.

Eh, it'll be great in a week. I switched my purchase from Tomb Raider to this at the last minute, and despite the server issues I'm glad I did. TR is a play it once, forget about it type of game for me, and already I've gotten more game time from SimCity than I would have from Tomb Raider.

Yeah me as well. I wasn't even considering trying to get a refund because I love the game when it works, but I'm considering it now. This clusterfuck is now worse than Diablo's

Yeah, that's originally why I went with SC. No matter how good each game was, I felt like I was going to get more playtime from SC regardless. TR looks like a good 3-day rent though...

I guess I'm still glad I chose SimCity, but not playing a game at launch really does kill the hype.

Yeah... damn, I don't have the game but did actually enjoy the beta. I figured there would be some problems with launch but didn't think it would be as bad as it looks like it is right now. This just looks like a disaster right at the same level as Diablo 3.
