Okay, TeamCG. Come own up to your foolishness. #trolljima

Is Joakim Mogren CG?

Lol he just blocked it out in MS Paint to make a gap.

But I should expect a member of #teamReal not to notice ;)

Well, lol. Thanks for pointing that out. This thread is a huge trap. But still, the point is there are common sense explanations for everything this whole thing is throwing up. People just seem to dismiss taking common sense into account.

Sorry Todd for not realizing! It was just too close to what people in this thread sometimes quoted for real evidence :p

If it is CG, EC can ban me for a month.

This is some of the best over-analysis I think I've seen. Joakim probably doesn't look into his own face as much as TeamCG is right now.

lol yesterday I was thinking ban bets were the only thing missing in here.

I've only just seen the thread, I'm on my phone at the moment.

Its not the position that's 'patronising', it's the manner in which some people are conducting themselves that is.
curious to see what you think about after watching the video (GT version is better quality than youtube)
Lets compare a few frames of the 720p video. Start at 1:05:05

It is easy to spot more issues if you know where to look. The tooth is out there.

Oh shit, you got me! Well played man ;)

Terribly sorry if I've missed this being posted.

The footage from the "teaser" is from here.

AWESOME FIND. I mean i knew it was fake but it's nice to have something now to put the believers to sleep.

Now all we need is an ancient aliens style documentary with creepy background music, and they can interview skeptics and believers and at the end they add some random out there theories like "What if we are all CG? what if this universe IS the fox engine?"

Crappy attempt but an attempt anyway XD:

Now that I've been watching it in HD properly on GT (instead of a crappy quality flipped video), it looks pretty darn real to me.

His eyes at times are still strange though, and I do still think an animator could animate his facial features in a convincing manner with the right tools however.

But eh, it was fun to speculate based on a crappy YouTube video. ;)

Just read through this thread and I can now confidently say I have a good idea what a heroin trip is like.

The first mistake here people was reading /v/.

No anagram just the word ogre is in it, and Kojima worked on project ogre.

Also I'm team real

edit: Oh didn't know about this Nergom stuff

Monger is a word that can be made from it.

Definition of MONGER

Monger is defined as to promote in a deceptive way. (verb)

An example of monger is to falsely advertise a product.

to disseminate, promote, etc., often in a way that is regarded as deceptive or self-serving

But what does this mean?!

There is something "wanky" about the way that video was edited...

Also, Geoff at the very least seems to be acting.

There is a chance the interview was staged yes, but no way in hell is Mogren or Keighley CG. It's all real!

You can totally see it at the end, the last question was so acting. THEY WANTED YOU TO SEE THE FOX ENGINE LOGO. It was not a mistake or Kojima forgot to erase it, lol.

It was all Part of the Plan.

I'm going to put my money on real as well. There is something "off" with the video though. Eye contact is non existant, dark background, short camera time ECT. At best it may be a tech similar to that used in L.A. Noir, but that is certainly a real person.

Haha, I think that is rather obvious. Its a PR stunt that everyone was involved in. Just view the video as a teaser ad where Geoff's has been prerecorded by Geoff and then they edited in the prerecorded file they received by Kojima and it makes sense.

Sorry but it is what a lot of people into TeamCG think.

Why joakim looks at the camera in an interview? Why he needs to move eyes when closed? Is not too obvious? Forget the result and think about all this for a moment.

Hammy acting. In case you didn't notice, it's most probably a staged interview. Or are you guys seriously believing that is legit? It's pure marketing.

I'm beginning to understand how this thread has almost reached 40 pages if some people are only maybe-kinda-sorta wondering if the whole interview was a staged PR stunt, possibly.

Wait, I'm very, very confused. Are you actually using this to suggest he's CG? I think I've started to lose grasp of who is joking and who is serious.

What a waste of time and energy debating whether this is CGI or not when clearly it would be better to work out who the guy is in bandages. BTW whoever thought this is CGI is off their rocker.

actually i, too, thought his looks to the camera and extreme eye movement when eyes closed for a period of time where feeling like a "look he does all these realistic-things"-thing.

If they wanted to suggest they could make a realistic CG character they'd make him move and react perfectly.

Think about it. We want a realistic cg character, let's make him move like an idiot, that'll do the trick.

Isn't that just a result from a subdued flash from a camera, or just a reflection from a monitor/ipad or or something else in the studio?

IMO no, because it doesn't affect his eyes, mouth area, skin etc, just the right side of the bandage. If he's CG, it seems like a glitch causing shadow on the bandage to actually disappear for a moment.

Discussions and debates are the purpose forums serve. Why are you here?

In that case I honestly cannot accept the rational behind that train of thought at all. I was willing to accept the possibility that if it was indeed a hybrid video of CG and an actor that the erratic behaviour was to remove the amount of time we have to compare with other segments of the video, specifically related to the eyes, and to make any flaws in the CG appear as one of his eccentric mannerisms. Regardless of whether I agree with this, I can understand the rational behind thinking it. However, I really cannot see how erratic behaviour and looking at the camera would do anything to make him seem more realisitc. In fact, if anything, I would say that it makes it draws far more attention towards him than it otherwise would by making the actor look weirder than he would conducting the (clearly staged) interview in a regular fashion.
