"Why Xbox?"

This is a joke, do not take it seriously.

So I've analzed the twitter account's profile picture and noticed it is not completely black - so I decided to alter the color curve:

White dots...

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
That logo is horrendous.

Why can't any of these fakes ever be done by a professional, educated graphic designer, with basic working understanding of typography...?

Seems to match Microsoft's new metro aesthetics and palette, but that's not saying much since it's very easy to come up with something in that style.

I think the logo is a little too rounded, though.
Gives a 'gamey' / 'toyish' feel that i would have thought Microsoft is trying to avoid.

The Beastie Boys are the first hip hop group in years to have something to say
No way that's real. The logo is horrendous.

remember to update the op when you find the tumblr that goes with this about how smart this person is because they 'trolled' the internet

Even if it is a troll, it's not hard to assume that Microsoft will go with a Web 2.0 / minimalistic approach for their next-gen branding.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the console was called "The New Xbox" or just simply "Xbox." It meshes perfectly with MS's current design philosophies.

You know it took me at least a minute to see this penis everyone was talking about and even then... not really. This must be like one of those ink blots.

I'm still looking for it... is it the "T" shape thing that could be interpreted as a (short) penis and (weirdly positioned) balls ? Or the cut leg from the X that would be the tip of a penis ?

I still hate that shade of green but sure, why not?

Now that you mention it, I think that the color palette for the 720 will probably be green AND purple, if they really include kinect(2) in all boxes. They did a rather good job attaching the purple color to the concept of "compatible with kinect".

Now I'm going to try to see whether there's enough in that screen to reveal whether there really is a dual apu in Durango. Early indications aren't good I'm afraid.

Clearly I've counted all of the pixels in the picture and concluded that the next xbox will indeed be more powerful. pssh, rookie.

More serious note, I could see Microsoft changing the logo like this if rumors of them naming it just "Xbox" are true. A logo change would help differentiate between the old box for consumers.
