These are the last shots I'll post of this until more people have an opportunity to play the game. Damn shame about the health bar.

What res is that downsampled from? Bummer about the HUD scaling as well.

3200x1600, Near Max Settings (Shadows turned from Ultra to Very High and AO turned from Ultra to Normal), in-game AA 'on' setting (No injection).

Still got 50-55fps, too. I'm playing it at 2880x1620, though, for the locked 60 instead.

What do you have your screen brightness set at? I think mine is at 27. I played Leon's first mission yesterday and it seemed really dark in a lot of areas.

I had to crank it up a bit because the sun at aroun 3-5 in the afternoon shines in my window and blinds the shit out of me. RE6 it too fucking dark anyway.

EDIT: that second pic is during a lightning flash BTW. That's why it's super lit up.

See, those Bioshock pics look 10x better to me than any Crysis 3 screens, purely due to art direction.

I actually like Crysis 3's art direction. I think just because the game has become known for bleeding edge graphics, it's automatically assumed that it's all tech and no artistry -- they did a great job of portraying a demolished NYC that the wild had begun to take back.

Edit: I love Infinite's art direction as well -- different styles for very different games.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA.

You're my new best friend, guy. This is Cinematic mod. A guy named FAKEFACTORY said, "Fuck it, I'll make HL2 into my dreamworld", and redid pretty much everything. Great mod, IMO, and complete crap in the opinions of most GAFFERS.

Here's the dude's website.

Beware, it's a huge download. The mod doesn't affect your HL2 games, but borrows from their folders, so make sure you have HL2, episode 1 and episode 2 installed.

Also when you post screenshots of it, do this

There's like three people here who like the mod.

On to the topic!

Ok, so I downloaded verything and started a save in HL2, Ep1 and 2. I tried running the launcher for the mod but it tells me a file is missing. Reading the Read Me it tells me that I need the Half Life SDK. Is that true? if so where do I download it?

In STEAM, under Library, where it says "All games" or "installed Games" Click that and change it to "Tools" There will be a few Source SDK files you need to download.

Also, remember that you have to go to start>Programs>FAKEFACTORY Cinematic Mod 12> and then select the game you want to play. You won't be able to use a previous save, when you first start, or when you change the citizen models. If you dtart HL2 from Steam, it will only launch the regular game.

I hate to add to the spam but the game is so damned pretty. Every where I look is just stunning. I've already taken like 100 shots, my FRAPS folder is going to be ridiculously huge.

Yeah, I just worked it out myself. Running fine now. Thanks.

Nice Bioshock Infinite shots everyone! I really wish there was a way to disable the hud though. Also some peoples shots look a little washed out to me. It might help to calibrate the brightness in game.
