Pfffft. Minette's only got cuteness going for her. That's it.

You want sick gameplay, it's all about Isaac.

Looking at her character art is enough for this weak-willed fuck up. Her gameplay sounds pretty cool (to someone who doesn't really play fighting games, albeit).

If you want sick gameplay and a sick character, Eliza 100%!

Aesthetically, my favourites are Brain Drain, Taliesin, Eliza and Molly. By looks alone I'd probably go for Taliesin and Eliza. I'm sure it's a whole other story when it comes to playstyles though.

Playstyle Speculation
A cute, clumsy waitress, Minette is primarily concerned with making her customers happy. Throughout the match she delivers food to passers-by who ride past on bikes, jump down from the sky, pop up from the sewer, or otherwise appear to harass the opponent for Minette’s sake. She can collect her tips with a super, and the more she collects the happier she gets! Maybe when she’s happy enough she’ll even have the confidence to overcome her clumsiness...

Vote Minette

Four more palettes I made. Started trying Panza. I think Potemkin and Fat Albert are by far my favourites of any I've done. I wanna fix the Tron one later too since it was my first attempt. I prefer the red/gold ironman but he's never that colour in Marvel games so yellow it is.

Dem old Molly palettes.

I demand a Johnny Bravo palette!

I went with Feng / Beowulf / Panzerfaust / Brain Drain this time around.

Ended up swapping Annie for Panzerfaust compared to my original list. Hoping I don't regret it.

How are you doing your palettes?

Literally just photoshop layers over the DLC character page art. It's super quick since all the shading is already done by the artists. It would be best to just have some empty lineart but it doesn't really matter. Also some of the characters have better art than others. Umbrella is completely cleaned up whereas neither Molly or Panzer are (which makes life difficult).

So sometimes the layers approach doesn't really doesn't pan out. Look at Panzer's right hand (his right) in each picture. Since the original artist just coloured it completely in, the Ironman one is pretty much still black because I was going for quantity over quality :X. I don't wanna devote too much time to one character and then have them not get in! In the Fat Albert one I couldn't just let an entire hand be black (or his boots). I removed the original black lines out of the hand and made up my own highlights/shadows/borders. I also lift most of the colours from the original work of whatever I'm replicating with the eyedropper so it perfectly matches. This is why Potemkin looks so damn good.

Haha, yeah. I'm mostly asking because I tried doing this myself

(Not sure if it's been done already but it had to be done anyways)

How does one even change the color of things that are pure black/white or close to it without it looking shitty (see: the belt and hair)

Sometimes you can sort of unearth the lines the original artist had by using multiple, white, soft-light layers. You just have to try to get the area that's weird as light as possible while still maintaining the original lines (so all white is doing it wrong in most cases). This is why Panzerfaust had to be reworked, it was ONLY lines underneath. Heres a fixed one for you. I was able to find the lines under the head and I lightened up the belt.

Avoid trying to redraw the sketch if possible because it's no longer part of the original art, and that kinda sucks. If it comes down to having to redraw a piece of the sketch though just cut out the inner area and make sure you keep a black outline. Borders are integral to SG. Otherwise you just have to match the rest of the drawing by which I mean the lighting mostly.

I'm probably assuming to much but I'd imagine the rougher sketches are the kind of things that get handed to contractors for clean up. After which they turn in cleaner versions like Umbrella.

When voting for characters, I looked at my two lists from that character decider, and realized that the top four I chose were not who I wanted to vote for. While I liked certain characters better than others, the ones I had at the top weren't the ones I absolutely wanted to make it into the game. Annie was number one, but there were others I would much rather play than her. And I thought about Minette, and there's nothing past her looks that interests me. Feng was up there, but only because of those hot nude pictures of her.

As fighting game characters, a majority of the group sounds interesting, and I'd like to play most of them, but there are only a few that I would really want to play if it was limited to 1 character. I do hope they get more of them in down the line.
