With the rumor of a new type being added to Pokemon X/Y making rounds lately, I have been super hype lately. So just a fun thread, what is your favorite type and why?

My favorite type is Psychic, easy. Even as a child I realized how OP Psychic types were in gen 1. I was rolling people with Mr. Mime(Gamefreak, Evo please, KTHX). Even after the nerfs, I still love the Psychic type, simply aesthetically. Now that I'm into JoJo, I love psychics even more.

Also Psychic is one of my favorite attacks in the series.

Good man. Fire starter all day everyday for me. So fire is my second choice. If Fennikin is Fire/Psychic, I'll lose my shit.

I don't really have a favorite type...

I guess if I had to pick one it would be Fire-type, because I always choose that for my starter.

Edit: I just remembered how great Ghost-type is. I remember all the original Pokemon series episodes with Ghastly, Haunter, and Gengar. Great episodes, those were. Fire-type and Ghost-type are my favorite.

Interestingly enough, most of my favorite Pokemon (Sneasel, Kingdra, Dragonair, Umbreon) are not Water type.

Grass, Dark, and Electric, I suppose. I use grass-type starters a lot, plus Shinx and Murkrow were the cornerstones of my Diamond team. Fire is also up there.

Thinking about it more, I sure do love Bug-types, which have only continued to become more diverse and useful with time. But I also love Ghost-types, which now feature many cool type combinations. And as I said before, I love Steel-types -- on Pokedex 3D Pro, the Top 10 Pokemon on my Favorites list were composed mostly of Steel-types.

Conflicting me further is the fact Elesa is the coolest gym leader... and she's an Electric-type trainer. Also, I love Mareep, and in B2W2, Elesa wears a coat made out of Mareep wool. How cool is that?

I used the sleep move with Parasect (spore?) and then caught him with ultra ball. Used my master on Zapdos IIRC.

God those times... one of my friends used his master ball on Arcanine or something And we taught all the best moves to Raticate...

Sometimes I even pick the version I get based on if its a fire type or not on the cover (Reshiram made me pick Pokemon Black over Pokemon White)
