Looks as bad as I was expecting. Heard rumors of a October launch, which would peg it as a five-month marketing cycle. Weird how all these dudes left Starbreeze and now Starbreeze is making a totally left-of-field title like Brothers.
Haven't played Butcher Bay since launch, but did it benefit from insanely low expectations? Whereas the more muted reception of Dark Athena was reflective of the higher expectations for that game.

It was also one of the best MP games ever. I can understand people hating on the last entry of the series, but RCTW?

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty was a great idea but failed miserably in execution. I have faith that the ex Starbreeze guys will make a hell of a game.

Agreed, what in the actual fuck is up with the RTCW hate? SP was damn fun, and the MP is easily some of the best I have had in an FPS. I would kill for the MP to be like that again, but I am unsure if it will happen here. I am willing to give it a chance though, just seeing the Wolfenstein name again gets me excited, and the screens so far are looking pretty good.
This. Come on guys. RTCW and ET are fucking legendary; easily some of the best multiplayer fun of all time. And likewise, I too am doubtful they can catch the same magic, as the game pace and feel tend to be extremely slow in modern shooters compared to some of the old id3-engine classics (rtcw, quake 3), as well as rely on twitch-reactions rather than aim. Colour me interested though.
Still better than WUB WUB, horns, and more Hans Zimmer.

Make this one more like Return to Castle Wolfenstein and they have my money. They already have my attention, since The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay was one of my favorite games of it's era.

Well...not very interested.
Need to see more ingame stuff, but seeing those mechs already looks very cool to me. I think it will look like a retro Killzone. People complaining,this is a sci fi game. Not another WW2 game. Yes there is a lot of FPS games, a lot of military shooters. There is not enough sci-fi shooters, at least not good ones.

Driving the mech thing at the end of the Riddick game and mowing people down was so satisfying after spending the whole game sneaking up on them and avoiding them. They nailed the satisfaction of a vehicle sequence in a game with the build-up and then the release when you get in the vehicle and start wrecking shit.

I'm with you, until I see some actual in-game/engine footage in motion. Perhaps I'm just burnt out on FPS atm but the CGI doesn't help.
I hope it brings something new to the table in terms of game or gameplay mechanics.

AHA!--knew it was Wolfenstein all along.
It'll be more like Riddick than RTCW. What was the most recent console release of a speedy RTCW/Quake/UT style FPS game? Unreal Tournament 3? Just the fact that it's, understandably, going to be on consoles, I'm not expecting it to be much different from Wolf09. We'll see! CG trailer isn't much to go on.

pretty much..I'll need to see a lot more, because so many good shooters have come out, to the point where a wolfenstein will have a hard time standing out.
