Please don't be a horror game with a bunch of mutated whatevers jumping out at you and shit. Just be a creepy isolated puzzler, PLEAAAAAAAAAASE.

We just dont get enough of those.

I want to know how long it's taken him.

Think of the time needed to take draw everything with that much detail, then the programming, sound, writing, UI, gameplay, modelling, graphics list goes on...

props to the man.

I asked on Twitter about Kickstarter and he said the project doesn't need any additional funding at this moment.

I really want to get my hands on this soon.

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
Gameplay looks great. For some reason even if the gameplay remains purely exploratory when adventures games look like this, rather than Broken Sword style, it's more involving, more like exploration than hidden object finding in a single screenview.

I'm Down.
I'm just loving the adventure game revival on PC.
So i'll be supporting this especially since it's sci-fi

Necro bump, just to say I just discovered the game thanks to the dev Bioshock Infinite 2D reinterpretation that went viral on twitter yesterday (amazing work, you can find it on the stasis web site).
There is also a recent nice interview.

Amazing work, I hope to see it out soon (and possibly on iPad too, as mentioned as possibility in the interview).

Looks very cool. What's the release date on this one?

He's got a Bioshock Infinite homage shot up too which looks very nice:

This was announced a long time ago, happy to hear that it's still happening. There's hasn't really been any news on it for a while. Has a ton of potential. The Bioshock: Infinite homage screen above looks AMAZING. As are his others. This guy is really talented!

I'm glad you appreciated my necro bump.
According to last week interview, I think the dev is aiming at a summer/autumn release date.
If you can watch the interview...tons of cool infos and ton of gameplay shown.

To be honest this is what I expect if Project Eternity or Numerara were adventures set in a scifi world.
The fact it's a one man team is mind blowing.

BTW I would buy that 2D iso Bioshock Infinite game in a heartbeat.

Post about it in this thread: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=532236 - because those indie games threads die quickly.

Sorry, but no release date, just a small update.

I know I’ve been quiet lately, but rest assured I have been toiling away below decks. I recently finished a large chapter in the game, so wanted to show off an area (or 2). The still screenshots don’t do these scenes justice…the shadows move as the lights swing, particles float through the air, and the sounds of the empty bowels of the ship echo through the engineering decks.
Its pretty darned cool!

Thanks for the support and comments guys. If you have any questions about the game, please don't hesitate to ask!

I'll be honest and say I forgot about the game until someone necrod this thread. I see you posted a new update to the site yesterday. I'm glad you are still trucking along - best of luck.

Looks pretty damn good to me. I wonder how long the game is going to be, adventure games should be quite lengthy, but only one man (?) working on the game kind of makes me wonder about that. But looking forward to this for sure.

Its a very difficult question to answer, because it mostly depends on the player, and how long it takes them to solve the puzzles.

If you were measuring in screens (in STASIS's case, each screen representing a room), the game will have around 120 rooms and areas to explore.

You are behind this?
Damn, this is one impressive atmosphere you have gotten and the style? my god.

This is on a abandon research facility correct? Do you know what I would love in the same style? On a space ship a la Pandorum.

But super great work.

Yeah-this is my baby!

The research facility is housed in a massive spaceship called The Groomlake. I loved Pandorum, and Event Horizon-so going into space was the obvious choice!

The ship can be seen here:

Although the design has been updated a bit since then.

I've been keeping an eye on this for a long time, in large part because of the stunning isometric art. Amazing talent.

Awesome! Thanks for your answer.

And when is the kickstarter to buy the BEST GAME EVER license aka Baldurs Gate?

I'm a big believer in developers creating new and exciting IP's. It was the 'forced' creation of an inspiring new IP that led to things like FALLOUT, StarCraft, and many other hugely influential creative worlds.

I don't want another Baldars Gate-I want another world!

Amazing work dude. I love atmosphere and how it looks.

Do you consider kickstarter ?

I mean you have very solid game on hands and if Penny arcade can do kickstarter i don't see why you can't. Thanks to this you would have cash to hire someone to help you with game making it more polished. I am amazed that this is created only by one person but one person can't do anything nor it can do work of two people.

I feel this kickstarter would easily do 500k. At least you would have cash to completely focus on game without any things like work or bills.

Everyone can be bought!

:p

But I totally respect your views which is great since, as you said, gaming has become milking of franchises.

But I want another BG game :(
