So since this thing has HDMI in, can i essentially tell the Xbox One to play the PS4 if its connected to it?

Windows kernel and IE on the same machine. I think hackers are happy with that setup. Better have good protection.

Would the ps4 being more powerfull matter if the xbox one was say $100 cheaper? That 8 gigs gddr5 can be awfully expensive to produce.
Built-in Kinect and shit will probably even the pricing.

It looks like the PS4 is obviously more powerful, and Sony has simple architecture this time. It will clearly be the console to buy games for.

So here we are and all the leaks were true. Reiko is banned and Im not surprised. Had him on ignore since February. Well its going to be a hell of a ride this gen.
No point having stacks of memory available if you don't have the power to use it all.
I know your hurting but let it go. You seem to be on the edge of nonsense now.

Xbox One will not function without Kinect connected, confirms Microsoft UK

More news that seals the deal. It's been fun, Microsoft. But I'll be passing on your bloated, underpowered all-in-one box. You know, it's actually kind of refreshing knowing I'll only need one console next gen.

PS4 ~3 billion transistors
HD 7970 4 billion
Xbox One ~ 5 billion

Whatever that means.
That means that 2+ billion transistors are spent on EDRAM/ESRAM solution that (hopefully) will help it to be somewhat on the same level as PS4 bandwidth-wise.

Concerning the 3 operating systems, it would be interesting to know if these share the resources all the time. I seem to recall that Sony did talk about having dedicated hardware to handle background tasks without impacting performance too much. (correct me if mind fails me and this was really just for downloading stuff in the background and not things like app switching)

While 8G RAM sound great and all, it would be sub-optimal if it turns out that the OS is already reserving a hefty chunk of that to switch between TV programs quickly.

Engadget reporting it as 28nm

"Processor and graphics: as rumored, a heavily customized AMD chip that combines an eight-core CPU, a GPU tailored for DirectX 11.1 graphics and 32MB of high bandwidth embedded ESRAM memory. The 28nm chip will consume around 100 watts, which is slightly higher than current Xbox Slim and PS3, but Microsoft promises noise from the cooling fans will be "four times quieter."

So no dual APU or 360 APU or 12GB GDDR5 then.

Fanboy dreams getting destroyed.

MISTERCTEAM I GO DIG NOW.

I swear, he is part of the reason for all this uproar. It's ok though. People can adjust their expectations now. Microsoft has decided on a vision that I spoke about earlier. The mass market media console.
