Shocking news, they're not exclusives.

Note: EA just confirmed on GTTV that NHL probably won't be next-gen until next year.

EA said:
New EA SPORTS IGNITE Engine to Power EA SPORTS Games on Next Generation Consoles

Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, NBA LIVE 14 and EA SPORTS UFC to Launch Within Next 12

"With EA SPORTS IGNITE and the power of next generation consoles, our games will come alive—with more authenticity, more emotion, more connectivity, and more fun."

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) announced today that it has developed EA SPORTS™ IGNITE, a new game engine that will power EA SPORTS games on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStation®4. Fueled by EA SPORTS IGNITE, EA SPORTS games will be alive with players who think, move, and behave like real athletes and dynamic living worlds, transforming the way people play and experience games on next gen consoles. Created with the EA SPORTS IGNITE engine, Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, NBA LIVE 14, and EA SPORTS™ UFC, will each launch within the next 12 months.

EA SPORTS IGNITE blends new technology with the best rendering, run-time physics, animation, intelligence, locomotion, and online systems from across EA into one powerful, new engine. Athletes will possess human-like intelligence for advanced decision-making, players will have the agility required to change speeds and directions with true athletic motion, and living worlds will make the game experience as rich and dynamic as real-world stadiums and arenas. A video showcasing how EA SPORTS games will look and play on Xbox One can be viewed here.

“Through years of investment and innovation, we have built technology across EA SPORTS to create a game engine that will deliver stunning accuracy, realism and experiences that we previously could only dream about,” said Andrew Wilson, Executive Vice President and Head of EA SPORTS. “With EA SPORTS IGNITE and the power of next generation consoles, our games will come alive—with more authenticity, more emotion, more connectivity, and more fun.”

Athletes in EA SPORTS next gen games will be able to make intelligent decisions with human-like reaction times. EA SPORTS IGNITE computes four times more calculations per second than previous consoles, unlocking nearly infinite potential for how players think, and enabling them to make more difficult decisions faster. Players are alive with contextual awareness and instincts—thinking, anticipating, and reacting—just like real athletes, and players are conscious of their environment. In FIFA 14, for example, a player’s sense of urgency increases as the match draws on and a goal is needed, rushing to take a free kick, corner, or goal-kick if time is running down.

EA SPORTS IGNITE will deliver the dynamic movements and biomechanics of the world’s best athletes. With 10 times more animation depth and detail than previous consoles, and thousands of new sport-specific animations to drive new locomotion systems, players now plant, pivot and cut, quickly change speeds, and shift momentum with the agility and explosiveness of superstar athletes.

EA SPORTS games for the next generation will have stunning accuracy and visuals. By creating living worlds, the in-game environment is now as dynamic as real-world stadiums and arenas that change throughout a match. For the first time ever, 3D crowds and dynamic sidelines will impact the experience, and rich sports atmospheres will change organically based on the progress of a match. Player actions will change depending on the situation, and crowds will have an expectation of how a game is likely to play out, and react accordingly.

Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, EA SPORTS UFC and NBA LIVE 14, will release worldwide within the next 12 months on Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, and will be available for pre-order soon. Madden NFL 25 will release in North America on August 27 and worldwide on August 30 on the Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. FIFA 14 will also be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation3, PC and additional platforms. The release date has not yet been announced.

It's weird that the presentation would be even worse if they didn't buy out EA and Activision to present some of their stuff.

I liked the trailer that will inevitably not live up to expectations. It's the Madden trailer all over again.

I thought they said FIFA Ultimate Team would be exclusive for Xbox One, but apparently it's exclusive content lol?Microsoft fanboys you so crazy.

With their partnership I did really think they'd throw MS a bone and refrain from mentioning PS4 today.

So with CoD: Ghosts, that's 5 new games announced for PS4 today. Not bad for a competitor's show.

I expected this. Not disappointed as I'll be more than content with NHL 14. I just hope we don't get the barebones versions of these sports games like last time around.

You don't say? lol.

I wonder how the FIFA exclusive content will impact considering it sells a lot more in territories where the PlayStation has strength.

I'd love to get one of the new systems to play the new Madden but by the time they are released the season will be half over, and the current gen Madden will be too enticing to not pick up.

The only thing I could think of when seeing the "nextgen" Madden footage was the prerendered stuff they trotted out with 360.

None of that stuff looked terribly impressive or that much better than what current gen consoles already do.

Battlefield 4 is apparently also confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One. But I guess that's going out in a non-EA Sports release.

The graphics were cool but these games looked like bad CG, I wonder if it's really bad CG like the 2005 madden trailer, for example.

I for one am shocked,
certain groups on
GAF had convinced me that EA titles were going to be exclusive because they were being debuted at the Xbox event.

Shocked.

I'm not a Fifa fan, but can someone explain what the Ultimate Team mode is about? Is it the one where you build your own team, a la Football Manager-lite type of affair? And if so, is it strictly exclusive to Xbox One or coming to current gen console, but not the PS4?

No nhl 14 on the new consoles is huge for me as there is no way I'm buying more 360 games that won't be playable on the new syso

Jin: it's a mode where when you win matches you get cards with players and can upgrade your team.

It's very popular.

But making part of it xbox exclusive in Europe is just a loss of money for EA.

Yeah, I figured. It's huge among my friends, and is the sole reason why they keep playing the games as long as they do. I guess we'll see how this plays out.

They're not making the mode exclusive, just the new version of the mode.

NHL is my favorite of EA Sports games.

I liked Madden back in the day as a combo with NCAA playing multiple years and see my college players advance in the NFL. Haven't bought them in the last 2 years though since EA removed that feature to improve customer experience.

I might give FIFA a shot next year (don't buy 1.0 releases, which makes NHL even worse, only in 2015 will there be an acceptable version).

It looked lame. The basket and football (real football) parts were bad. The guys looked so thin and the animations are equally bad. And that s CG... Cool. Show the real stuff already!
