Sony E3 press conference; June 10th 6PM PT/9PM ET

Get well man. If not, them conferences on Monday will knock out the living sickness within you. The hype will overcome.Friend came over last week with a cold/virus.
Now I have it and it's kicking my ass.
Serious question to people with some business knowledge: should I buy Sony stock ahead of the E3 conf? There's also a shareholder meeting June 20th. I'm probably looking for the 3-5 yera investment time period.
Also, LOL asking random strangers on the internet for investment advice.
Best music for me is Shadow of the Colossus but there are so many great others listed too.

If it's 'LOL' it's stupid, don't be stupid with your money.
And best music is Shadow of the Colossus by a country mile for me.
I invested in Sony a little while ago near the time when they bottomed out, and I've made quite a bit on their stock since. The past week or two has been very volatile as an activist investor called for the spinoff of their entertainment business. It jumped to about $23, and over the past few days has fallen back to about $19.50. Long term targets tend to put Sony in the mid 20s for the next 12-18 months, so at this point I would wait until you see it drop below $19 or $18, and then jump on it. The E3 conference will be unlikely to move the stock much at all in any meaningful way, so don't use that do determine your purchase time.
Good point, I guess it's easy to overestimate the business importance of E3 since it's so important to me personally.

I suspect that will end soon, now way half the announcements don't get official announcements before the conference, it's just not Sony's style

Well, as they say, Sony's either good at keeping leaks recently or there isn't anything to leak.
Game-wise they did pretty well at the PS Meeting didn't they? Wasn't it only Drive Club that got let out a little early?

Had a weird dream that I was watching the conference.
Jonathan Blow was talking about The Witness, only it wasn't a puzzle game, but a Minecraft-style survival game with realistic graphics. He was showing his house in the game, which was in the middle of a deep hole with a mechanical ladder down.
It actually seemed like a cool game!
Am I going insane?

Killzone was leaked also by the same site that leaked DRIVECLUB.
Maybe Minecraft is headed to PS3/PS4? Sony has been very friendly to Notch lately.

Bias aside, I'm going with Chrono Cross. I feel if video games had more recognition at the time, that game would have one a ton of awards.

Wasn't Sony forcing Insomniac and Naughty Dog to make Shooter?
I blame Sony.
Don't know about that, but they made Disruptor on PSX back in the days and it was a very good console FPS. Resistance 1 was great too IMHO, so I can't really blame them
I hope that on PS4 we'll see less shooters from Sonys 1st/2nd party developers though, leave that to EA, Activision and co.

I couldn't agree more, I had so many issues with cross, but that soundtrack was beyond incredible.

And as an aside I had a dream they opened the show with Uncharted 4, the camera panned through the desert to find Drake lying in the sand, and as he got up, there was a closeup on his face. Everyone around me said "god those skin shaders look bad", and they were right. It looked awful.
And then Nathan wiped his face, and said to the audience "It's just makeup". And it looked glorious underneath.
Then I woke up.

Deus Ex Human Revolution OST. Listened to it countless times. It's just a masterpiece on it's own. You can play nearly any other game while listening to it. I play a lot of SC II with it.

Man I told myself I wouldn't get all tripped up in E3 this year, but man o man these last few days have been rough on my attention span. I've been discarding every bit of news that doesn't contain the words "Sony" or "Ps4". A bad time to announce cures for disease in my head :O

I once had a dream that I was holding Last Guardian in my hands. My hands trembled as they tore the plastic cover. I then tried to open the case but it wouldn't open. I tried using scissors, my kitchen knife, a screwdriver, to open the case but for some reason I could not open it. It was teasing me, taking the piss out of me, laughing at me. After 5 years of anticipating this game, I had had enough. I took the hammer out to smash the case open. The deed was done. The case lay there, shattered in pieces along with the disc.
The I woke up.

I also have some hope for Beyond's soundtrack, since Heavy Rain's was so great. Really unfortunate that Corbeil died.
I'm not the biggest fan of Balfe's output when he works alone, but since he is pretty excited for it I hope he puts together something great.

Chrono Cross. No contest. Yasunori Mitsuda was at his best with this and Xenogears' soundtrack.
Shadow of the Colossus.
Edit: but a single song, I pick rght now Demon's Souls Maiden Astraea theme. I love it, it fits perfectly with the mood of that place my favourite boss from that game too.
