Leaving aside the fact that KH is an awful, awful series, i doubt it's anything but a placeholder trailer for a game that won't come out before 2020.

Most of the games are critically acclaimed and sell well so it's pretty clear your opinion is factually wrong.

Not really a fan of HD sora.
looks like a reskin noctis at a glance.

Wow, the opinion of who has no arguments. You should play games like Call of duty, Dragon Age and Skyrim, they sell so well and are critically acclaimed like KH!

Excellent job of only looking at one point I made. Has BioWare hired you yet?
was this trailer CG, actual gameplay they put together or what? need to know. hope they didn't spend 6 months to make it though lol.
To be fair, both developers are incompetent.
um after EVERYTHING shown today you think that wasnt possible? Ya'll is some non believers till the end

I think KH and FFXV are the beginning of a second golden age for SE. At least on the console side of things. They did pretty well on handhelds.
not BIOWARE stans of all ppl talking about story and awful series.....

Guess it's not the game for you, not as good as the shitty anime you watch.
Why? It's not like Nomura is going to be directing every SE game from now on. These two will come out, be amazing, then we'll wait for his next thing, and it'll take forever.I think KH and FFXV are the beginning of a second golden age for SE. "Now in development" instead of "Coming soon."
Knowing Square Enix, I bet all they've got in the pipe is that video we saw.

Yeah, i'm definitely a Bioware fan, you sure got me told!
To be fair, you don't know what shitty anime i watch, not to mention that they probably have a better constructed plot than anything Versus XIII writers have come up/will come up in their life.
The thing is, KH's world are populated by the enemies that have devoured the people. It's more like a hack 'n slash like Diablo where you go out of a small village and all that's in the wild are monsters, not just people hanging around. There can perhaps be parts/towns that have some people, but otherwise is like a more whimsical, colourful Disney version of hack 'n slash games. There needs to be NPCs. People in these worlds. The last couple of KH games have felt empty in that regards. I don't care if thet double the size, just have people that can be talked to

Well, Nomura still has to finish XV before he can fully focus on KH3. KH3 is probably 3-4 years away.
He has been involved with, what, 4 KH games while XV has been in development. He trusts Osaka team to know what they are doing. He's had the story down for a long time now, so he can mostly let the co-director do the job until he can help with it after XV is done. I'd say a schedule of KH1.5 HD in 2013, KH2.5 HD in 2014 and KHIII in 2015 isn't too far-fetched.Well, Nomura still has to finish XV before he can fully focus on KH3. KH3 is probably 3-4 years away.
Does he though? I'm not saying he doesn't btw, just that KH3 could follow the newer development pipeline that KH games post-KH2 followed. With KH and KH2, there was no co-director doing the heavy lifting with him, so his attention was always focused 100% on directing a single game at a time. But that's not how the KH games work anymore. If the Osaka team is developing this, it could well be developed in parallel with whatever project(s) Nomura also handles in Tokyo, like with KH BbS and KH3D.
Osaka has pretty much adopted the series at this point. They might as well continue on. I'm guessing KH3 will be out in Japan by 2015.

A glance from 200 yards away, by a blind person.
Mhm and it will sell millions. My heart cant take it
Let me tweet Hikaru to come back tbh
They HAVE to bring her back and PAY HA coins so she can write a new song for this series
The only concern I have with regards to KH3 is the placeholder (?) UI shown in the teaser:
Now, this could just be a completely braindead mockup, and it might mean nothing, and hence there is no cause for any concern. That's possible. But since there are no details, and they chose to specifically show this "gameplay" sequence to us, I reckon at least some thought went into making it even if it's just a target render. This is the KH1/KH2 style menu. It has attack/magic/item as different menu options. There is no command charge bar above the menu, there is no command deck. Those who are familiar with the recent entries of KH will understand why I find this worrying.

Who is developing this? The og KH team or the bbs team? I doubt theyll go back to the old combat system at this point. The only concern I have with regards to KH3 is the placeholder (?) UI shown in the teaser:

sis i think they literally just copy and pasted the KH1/2 hub on it lol. Just a concept obviously it'll probably be a hybrid of the new system from the other games

As awesome as BBS and 3D are, I also really enjoyed Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2's setup as well. If they balance the game closer to KH 2 Final Mix+ then I'm okay if Nomura goes back to it's systems. The only concern I have with regards to KH3 is the placeholder (?) UI shown in the teaser:
