Ocelot torturing Quiet, torturing Huey...looks like they're trying to find a mole, Big Boss getting really paranoid in this game.

Agree on the lighting, looks phenomenal! Incredibly excited for this one! And I love how the MGS games have this James Bond like quality to them with the music and crazy villians.

So at the end Kojima delivers with the taboo claims, holy shit. I'm rewatching the trailer and digesting it, but a few details make me think this game is rebooting the entire saga. I'll elaborate later, but I can't be the only one that
Miller="Big Boss"

I also had this idea that V stands for more then Kojima says i believe.

Liquid should have accellerated age and stuff so yeah, I'm not ruling him out.

Big Boss basically finding out the mole and strangling Chico in the process? :p

Very awesome trailer, including some of the more cringe worthy stuff. Could the 'Ogre' bits also be about some of the torture methods used in the game? Definitely some waterboarding happening in one scene.

Kojima confirmed the girl indeed is Paz (and it's Chico who's holding her guts while the medic does his thing).

EDIT: Beret guy confirmed to be Kaz, too.

More likely taken from the PC since this game hasn't been seen running on the PS4 or Xbone.

And yet they won't announce this game for PC :\

I'm more excited(not a lot, to be honest) for the new MGS than I am for the new Thief. It's a sad state of affairs.

I'm sorry GAF. Not feeling it.

It looks amazing of course. But I don't get any Metal Gear feeling from it. None. :/

This was environment/character reveal. Once that cinematic hits where Snake's fighting another Metal Gear. It will all become clear.

I got the feeling like Day 1 when they showed him riding on a horse, inside a vehicle, and then swiping the gun away. They must of worked on his controls because he seems more smooth with his animations.

I think the idea of Snake taking over bases in a sandbox game is a perfect one.

If I ever post something in Japanese which I don't understand, please BAN me.

link?

There is no way Paz will survive this.

RIP in peace.

Especially seeing as Chico, in the Ground Zeroes trailer, seems to give up some details on Mother Base (Skull Face says something that implies this), which leads to the invasion, which leads to Snake seeing shit go down when he gets back, which leads to the coma. It explains why Big Boss would choke the fuck out of him.

So is BB torturing his own support staff? Confused about the relationships the main characters have.
In PW, Kaz admits to working with Cipher. TPP, he was presumably being tortured by him, right?

Game looks absolutely stunning. Can't wait for the PS4 version.

Though let's face it people, Kiefer sounds like shit. I like Hayter, but I was willing to give him a shot since he's a decent actor. My god that was bad. Sounds like your typical Hollywood guy who couldn't give a rat's ass about videogames, and is just phoning it in for that big fat paycheck. Disappointing more than anything.

Gone too dark.

Doesn't feel like MGS.

I suspect Kojima unveiling the child soldiers and other controversial topics at the same time as poop jokes, would have just been asking for trouble. I don't doubt we'll still get the lighter stuff in the game though.

The problem with Keifer is that he sounds like himself.

Eh, he comes across well as Big Boss when he rescues Kaz. And in the epilogue of the 9-minute trailer (which I think is Big Boss) Nevermind, clearly Ocelot. The "I'm already a demon"-line couldn't be pulled of by Morgan Freeman; I don't blame Kiefer for that.

What. I mean really, what.

The original Metal Gear games had a son killing his biological father. MGS1 showed you a woman getting shot multiple times and begging for you to escape. Raiden from MGS2 became a child soldier after his parents were murdered. He got a nickname because he killed plenty of people with a sword.

I can continue, but this idea that MGS is 80% goofy and 20% serious is pretty wrong. The series has always had a lot of bleakness and depressing themes.

That problem with Hayter was that nobody talks like that. I'd take Sutherland over him any day.
(And Ôtsuka over both, naturally).

Oh nice, thanks. Any other interesting info?
Just started listening. They censored a part where they talk about Chico, but based on Kikuchi's reaction, things are looking grim for him as well.
