Uh, yeah, about that...Vita E3 so far:
1.Contrast
Store update is in. Vita highlights include some shovelware indie game about hamsters nobody asked for (but that Shahid has probably hyped as the coolest thing ever), and the localized demo for PS3 Project Diva F to remind us that Sega are assholes who love going out of their way to spit in the faces of non-Japanese PSP/Vita owners.
Yes, I am in a bad mood.
Uh, yeah, about that...Looks like someone at Sony screwed up when making the trailer. According to the game's blog, the E3 announcement is for a PS4 version. They will "look at a standalone Vita version after launch".
Good times, eh?

There, there. Everything will work out in the end. *hughug*Store update is in. He also confirmed that the Big Game "won't be announced for a while".I dont know if any posted it yet but according to Tretton the Vita "is just starting its lifecycle" So maybe the stuff from Shahid last night had some meaning. He did say our opinions should be different by the end of the year.
Wait really? Link?
If so that is majorly depressing.

So... They were supposed to announce two games and one mobile game. So far they have announced BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma for PS3, and a co-developed action RPG called Magus from a new Japanese dev without revealing anything about which platform(s) it is on.I'm going to assume the Aksys game that people were hyped about didn't turn out to be for Vita then.

Hey Toto. This is just insulting, they are literally killing vita.
Well, if they're planning a full-fledged relaunch near PS4 launch or afterwards I would be ok with it. They should relaunch the system with a new, heavy ad campaign, games, exclusives and brand new UI though. I think when PS4 will be a reality Vita will benefit from it, with people buying it for remote play only at really low prices. At that point it will have a nice user base that could tease japanese third parties into releasing games, ports and remakes for Vita? I don't think a new generation of handhelds will be coming in a long while so Sony really has all the time in the world for that to happen. And Tretton could be right when he says Vita is at the very beginning of its life cycle, if that's the case. I'm sure PS4 (and Vita with it) will last way more than PS3, short life cycles are a thing of the past. This is just insulting, they are literally killing vita.
I've been hoping they update Vita's UI to be similar to PS4's. That UI looks like it could work pretty well on a touch screen. It looks better than Vita's simple kidifed iOS look, too.Well, if they're planning a full-fledged relaunch near PS4 launch or afterwards I would be ok with it. I'm not even sure why I own Sony hardware anymore. Pay-wall for multiplayer incoming, the systems that do free-online and was launched not even two years ago isn't being supported...
Just... WHY.jpg
I really enjoyed it when this thread was where people could talk about what they liked about the Vita. Oh well.
Vita isn't going anywhere. If it isn't what you enjoy, then why subject yourself to something you don't enjoy, especially when it comes to entertainment? Move on.
In English?!It seems that God Eater 2 is announced.
Okay, so I know it's been a shitty day on the Vita front for all of us, but I gotta ask has anybody anywhere been asking about where the new Vita games at? I mean, we know there's more coming than announced already so why hold back last night?
If trusting the facts(the e3) more than bad pr damage control makes me toto then keep calling me toto.Hey Toto.
I'm not thrilled about the paywall either. I will continue to bitch about it too, but the only reason I'm still getting a PS4 is because the Xbone and Wii U are complete turds.
There's another option, Grinchy: Go PC. While it has DRM it's far less restrictive and doesn't require additional charges to play multiplayer. It's what I think I'm going to do.
Sony's basically stabbed me in the back so hard I look at both of my systems and I can't really muster the urge to play either of them. That paywall betrayal is that bad.
How does a ps4 focused e3 (no shit!) effect the enjoyment you're getting from your vita?
I loved my vita, I still love my vita and I will continue to do so. For me, it represents what next-gen is really about: not just better graphics and more grunt - unique, new ways to experience games.
Sony will support it, the games will come.
The real store highlights are Sound Shapes at a whooping $3.75 for PS+ and AssCreed Liberation for $13.22 also for PS+
Buy Sound Shapes! it is awesome and who can say no to that price?
Your phone is old hat now, so as long as you're also upgrading to a superior new Android phone as well, yes.A friend of mine wants to trade his white Vita for my old iPhone 4. Is it worth it? What do you guys think? I know absolutely nothing about the Vita.
Why is nobody talking about how the PSN Store on the Vita has gone to complete shit? I've been a Vita owner since day one and the problem only started with the "folders" update: downloads don't initiate, it hangs at the Share Range prompt, and once in awhile it completely crashes the system. I just tried 7 times to d/l the demo for Flying Hamster HD and it wouldn't initiate the d/l. Ugh, so awful.

The problem is, I'm not enjoying my Vita. I bought it because I loved the PSP, and expected something similar, lots of multi-platform releases of AAA games.
And yet, all I see are games announced for the PS3 and 360 that the Vita could handle, but isn't getting. And the Vita isn't even getting Madden this year. It's been by far my least using, and most disappointing gaming device I ever bought, and I own an Ouya.
And Sony has been saying that about games since it launched. It's not happening. I feel like Charlie Brown, with Sony being Lucy with the football. Every event I think the Vita is going to get something big, they snatch the ball away.

So there's still a chance that Magus is the mobile title and that a Vita game is being localized, right?So... They were supposed to announce two games and one mobile game. It's nice to know we're still getting games but the general lack of new announcements is disappointing. Not even Freedom Wars.It seems that God Eater 2 is announced.
But that doesn't change the fact that E3 for vita owners sucks pretty badly. Even FFX doesn't have a release date FFS.
