Wii U and Vita owners should band together and start the, "Our first parties only show games we've known about for ages" club.

Glad to see people like the contrast trailer. Looks like a very cool game.

People are forgetting they said the gaikai stuff will hit vita next year - bringing ps3 and back games to play

Am I allowed to post something positive here yet?

I like PS Home's alternate reality where, before it loads correctly, every TV has Vitas on it.

Well, until it loads. Then all the Vita is is a Quest display for checking out all the PS4 games.

Also it's incredibly boring and tedious and laggy and none of the Voucher codes load :/

Edit: And when I bugged out and re-opened it it started me back at the beginning..

Killzone Beta only redeemable beyond Aug 21. If I'm able to get the code at all.

Vita E3 so far:
1.Contrast
Uh, yeah, about that...
Looks like someone at Sony screwed up when making the trailer. According to the game's blog, the E3 announcement is for a PS4 version. They will "look at a standalone Vita version after launch".

Good times, eh?

Store update is in. Vita highlights include some shovelware indie game about hamsters nobody asked for (but that Shahid has probably hyped as the coolest thing ever), and the localized demo for PS3 Project Diva F to remind us that Sega are assholes who love going out of their way to spit in the faces of non-Japanese PSP/Vita owners.

Yes, I am in a bad mood.

I dont know if any posted it yet but according to Tretton the Vita "is just starting its lifecycle" So maybe the stuff from Shahid last night had some meaning. He did say our opinions should be different by the end of the year.

Wait really? Link?

If so that is majorly depressing.

Yeah second year running horrible E3 is a 'start' 'start of a life cycle' ...give me a break. It's just BS PR. Actions speak clearly

The real store highlights are Sound Shapes at a whooping $3.75 for PS+ and AssCreed Liberation for $13.22 also for PS+

Buy Sound Shapes! it is awesome and who can say no to that price?

There, there. Everything will work out in the end. *hughug*

Okay, so I know it's been a shitty day on the Vita front for all of us, but I gotta ask has anybody anywhere been asking about where the new Vita games at? I mean, we know there's more coming than announced already so why hold back last night?

I mean, even if it was just someone from on here asking Shahid or Yosp on Twitter I am really wondering wtf is happening.

Starting what? It's already too late, the Vita is a running joke in the industry, western AAA devs don't want to touch it and japanese publishers don't want to localize their games including those that are identical to their PS3 counterparts, and it's only a matter of time before retailers yank it off their shelves. Once that happens it's over, it won't be magically given a second chance.

Still shocked by this pile of shit Vita show. Really unbelievable what is Sony thinking with this platform. :'(

PS. I hope Dead Nation is cross-buy, I want another free game XDXD.

I'm going to assume the Aksys game that people were hyped about didn't turn out to be for Vita then.
So... They were supposed to announce two games and one mobile game. So far they have announced BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma for PS3, and a co-developed action RPG called Magus from a new Japanese dev without revealing anything about which platform(s) it is on.

This is just insulting, they are literally killing vita.

I really enjoyed it when this thread was where people could talk about what they liked about the Vita. Oh well.

Vita isn't going anywhere. If it isn't what you enjoy, then why subject yourself to something you don't enjoy, especially when it comes to entertainment? Move on.

Well, if they're planning a full-fledged relaunch near PS4 launch or afterwards I would be ok with it. They should relaunch the system with a new, heavy ad campaign, games, exclusives and brand new UI though. I think when PS4 will be a reality Vita will benefit from it, with people buying it for remote play only at really low prices. At that point it will have a nice user base that could tease japanese third parties into releasing games, ports and remakes for Vita? I don't think a new generation of handhelds will be coming in a long while so Sony really has all the time in the world for that to happen. And Tretton could be right when he says Vita is at the very beginning of its life cycle, if that's the case. I'm sure PS4 (and Vita with it) will last way more than PS3, short life cycles are a thing of the past.

I've been hoping they update Vita's UI to be similar to PS4's. That UI looks like it could work pretty well on a touch screen. It looks better than Vita's simple kidifed iOS look, too.

Personally I am upset at how they handled vita at E3 but it's not out yet. If there are no major western titles announced before gamescom is over then yeah, Sony are off of vita.

It seems that God Eater 2 is announced.

But that doesn't change the fact that E3 for vita owners sucks pretty badly. Even FFX doesn't have a release date FFS.

I'm not even sure why I own Sony hardware anymore. Pay-wall for multiplayer incoming, the systems that do free-online and was launched not even two years ago isn't being supported...

Just... WHY.jpg

I'm not thrilled about the paywall either. I will continue to bitch about it too, but the only reason I'm still getting a PS4 is because the Xbone and Wii U are complete turds.

Give them a couple of days to vent, that conference was killer for all Vita-Gaf.

But I do agree with you this a hobby and supposed to be fun if you are not getting enjoyment from it then you should just move on to something that does.

I'm pretty sure most anyone releasing a Vita game wants special treatment - not the first mention of the game being just the name of the title with no footage.

I think they missed a chance of including a Vita game in that E3 segment where they had a half dozen indie devs on stage playing their games. They could have included 1 Vita indie game there; it would have cost them no additional time, made their point just as well, and helped Vita visibility.

Why is nobody talking about how the PSN Store on the Vita has gone to complete shit? I've been a Vita owner since day one and the problem only started with the "folders" update: downloads don't initiate, it hangs at the Share Range prompt, and once in awhile it completely crashes the system. I just tried 7 times to d/l the demo for Flying Hamster HD and it wouldn't initiate the d/l. Ugh, so awful.

How does a ps4 focused e3 (no shit!) effect the enjoyment you're getting from your vita?

I loved my vita, I still love my vita and I will continue to do so. For me, it represents what next-gen is really about: not just better graphics and more grunt - unique, new ways to experience games.

Sony will support it, the games will come.

A friend of mine wants to trade his white Vita for my old iPhone 4. Is it worth it? What do you guys think? I know absolutely nothing about the Vita.

There's another option, Grinchy: Go PC. While it has DRM it's far less restrictive and doesn't require additional charges to play multiplayer. It's what I think I'm going to do.

Sony's basically stabbed me in the back so hard I look at both of my systems and I can't really muster the urge to play either of them. That paywall betrayal is that bad.

The problem is, I'm not enjoying my Vita. I bought it because I loved the PSP, and expected something similar, lots of multi-platform releases of AAA games.

And yet, all I see are games announced for the PS3 and 360 that the Vita could handle, but isn't getting. And the Vita isn't even getting Madden this year. It's been by far my least using, and most disappointing gaming device I ever bought, and I own an Ouya.

And Sony has been saying that about games since it launched. It's not happening. I feel like Charlie Brown, with Sony being Lucy with the football. Every event I think the Vita is going to get something big, they snatch the ball away.

I'm probably being cynical, but I'm thinking Sound Shapes might find its way on PSN+ soon. Will most likely buy it anyway.

This so hard. It is so annoying, I can never get a download to just freaking start on the first try anymore. And I have never got auto download queue thing to work, otherwise I would just queue them up on web store. I hope they patch it soon.

No shit? Are you really sure?
Did the ps3 get the same time and treatment of the vita? No, vita was the only console being ignored.
I love my vita but now i hate sony, if sony doesn't really care about vita who else will? Damn even pacman will be out everywhere except on vita.

Basically this.

The Tretton comment "is just starting its lifecycle" reads to me the vita doesn't start until we get PS4 and the vita is a full fledged accessory. I kinda accepted that and hope sony changes that but until I see something in the store Ill sit here defeated.

Oh I will already be going PC. I built my last PC in 2009 and it still plays multiplat games much better than the consoles. I've been very happy with it. I plan to build a new PC a couple years into the next generation so it will be affordable and still blow away the consoles.

I hate the paywall for PS4 but everything else about it is very attractive to me.

I thought I saw somewhere that Vita was getting 85 titles by year end. Im sure some are ports and Indie but that's still good number, yeah?

This E3 I wasn't concerned about Vita. My full attention was on PS4, good job Sony. Of course afterwards I realized it had happened again. Vita owners got shafted.

I love my Vita, I buy crap all the freaking time. Haven't bought anything in a couple months simply due to the fact that I own everything I really want to play. You put top shelf AAA Im gonna buy it. You port crap I wanna play, its bought. They just need to sell me the crap. Show me it exists and I'll throw my money quicker then they can accept it.

It's nice to know we're still getting games but the general lack of new announcements is disappointing. Not even Freedom Wars. :(
