Long story but I'll try to break it down. Basicly I was driving a friend of my mine to his brother. Before I left my room my uplight lamp was turned on since I thought I'd be home quick. The fucker though became too hot and snapped litting my bed on fire.

And it gets even more crazy. While I was driving a badger jumped out of nowhere and because I'm an inexperienced driver I paniced and we ended up crashing on the road, totalling my car I've only had three weeks. Luckily none of us was hurt. The only reason why my parents found out, was because we called my friend's dad which would tell them on way to us, and he saw the fire in my room.

Pretty fucked. I lost my car and almost managed to burn down my house because of that lamp.

Damn I thought my luck was bad. I wish you the best.

Moved into a new house a few months back. My entertainment setup is lame as bell compared to most I've seen on here, but hey:

Thats my daughter's toy box, if you're wondering.

Pictured: My LG 1080p LCD, Wii, dust covered Wii U, Sony BD Player, Sony 2.1 system, sky stuff and my PC with steam/xbmc.

Not pictured: Retro consoles upstairs and handhelds.

also, bonus kitchen pic:

and a terrifying image of my cat

Anyway. If I was able to, I would create my ideal set up, complete with wall mounted screen and speakers, concealed cables, custom shelving...but I'm renting this house, so I can't modify anything. But as soon as I buy a house in a few years, it'll happen!

edit: hope the images aren't too big. On my phone, and I can't tell.

I live in Los Angeles area. Where can I get Modern style Furniture other than Ikea? Any place out there decently priced?

This is just my personal tastes, but why cover up that awesome hardwood with a cow print carpet?

hmmm... never thought about it that way, I guess I have been spoiled with so much hardwood open space in the flat. Not print though! (I think)

I'm kind of disappointed (after seeing the rest of your ridiculously awesome place), I can see the cords etc under the cabinet.

Chittagong - how is the TV? I have a PS64E8000 - series below yours. I love it and think its amazing. Can only imagine how a 75" 9000 series is!

It's a fantastic TV. Truly magical. Super crisp, really deep blacks and brilliant colours. Minimal deadband and maximal screen area.

Wow, nice. Are you using a subwoofer with those speakers? I think my brother has two of those as well, and they sound well and good even without one.
I'm using five 8020B speakers and a 7050B for a subwoofer myself.

For those who have their PC's hooked up in the living room, do you have wireless mouse/keyboard recommendations you can give me? I bought a set blind but the range and feel of the devices is frankly horrible. Thanks in advance.

I use this kiddy .. (Ironic considering the amount of flak MS are taking on this site presently)

http://reviews.cnet.com/keyboards/microsoft-wireless-comfort-desktop/4505-3134_7-33738161.html

But I had a Logitech set before and the range was rather poor .. this keyboard also has a lot of cusomizable keys, so you can set one up to launch XBMC or jRiver or whatever your HTPC interface is ...but it is of the ergonimoc key design where the keys are sort of curved to match that of your hands .. takes a bit of getting used to .. the shift key is also rather small .. another gripe ..

The mouse has a leathery feel to the surface so nice grip for uneven surfaces - which my couch has .. .:) and its BlueTrack technology for use on almost any surface.. very handy

Once I've gotten used to it though .. it does the job well ..

I ain't an employee or anything .. just what I've been using over the last few years ...

Why the long case?
Gonna post a nice space upgrade here soon.

Before I had a mac setup for gaming, but I have been putting together a PC so the post should be a little more relevant to the thread title.

Got my TV & Speakers mounted with everything running through the walls for less clutter. Really wanna upgrade from my 47" LCD/LED LG to a Panasonic ST60 or Samsung f8500.
Bowers & Wilkins Speakers w/ Denon 1713 receiver.

I was playing through Remember Me this weekend and decided to quickly snap a pic to show. I'm literally addicted to viewing pictures of people computer and gaming setups. I think it's some sort of weird sickness or something :) The TV is a 60" Samsung Side-Lit LED 3D TV purchased last year. The TV is beautiful. I'm running a Bose surround sound (I know, I know). The cabinets are from Ikea and hold all games and Blu Ray (I've stopped buying Blu Ray lately since we live in a streaming world). On the top of the cabinets from left to right I have my PS3, Bose Screen Controller, center channel, Apple TV, Xbox 360 and then my new gaming rig on the far right. This is just my setup upstairs, I have a smaller set up downstairs for the Wii U, another Apple TV and another Blu Ray player. The office downstairs also has another 360 for my son along with a modded original xbox, dreamcast, iMac and Roku. I'm realizing now I have too many electronics.

Decided to take some new pictures of my place since it's been a while since I've done this.

My main TV. 51in or so. My Wii u is on the right along with it's 2TB HDD behind it. My main consoles are also stored here, as seen in next photo.
img_20130611_235335_9j1on9.jpg

Underneath my TV holds most of my systems. (PS3, PS2, SNES, 360, NES(NEX), GC with GBA Player, Dreamcast) What is not shown, is my Sega Master system in the right cover.
img_20130611_235425_3pcqdj.jpg

My main game collection, consisting of the modern console games. 360/PS3 in top shelf, Wii/Wii U in middle, and bottom is just a bunch of DS/3DS/Vita boxes.
img_20130611_233641_5i1o58.jpg

On top of this, you see some of my game case collection that stands out, like Half-Life 2 box, Zelda Skyward Sword, etc. The Mario case on the right stores my DS/3DS games.
img_20130611_233654_8gqq7n.jpg

A look at some of my more retro stuff. This is in my hallway to my garage, so first thing I see when i get home.
Top shelf: Sega Master, Genesis, 32X, Sega-CD
2nd shelf: Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1 & 3DO, Virtual Boy games (in the red DS cases)
3rd shelf: Just some system show offs. My original Wii launch system, 3DO, Playstation, NES
img_20130611_233755_26epok.jpg

img_20130611_233815_8cqpz6.jpg

A look at some of the stuff on top of that shelf. Virtual Boy, Game Boy Printer, Camera, N64 Transfer Pack.
img_20130611_233735_5ukrv8.jpg

My main collection of stuff in my front room where my Computer also is.
On top: Famicom system, NES/SNES boxes, Xenoblade/The Last Story/Pandora's Tower show off, Pier Solar, Sim City 64DD, SNES Super Scope, and my new Panasonic Q.
Top shelf: NES games for 1st area, SNES games for next 2
2nd shelf: N64 games for 1st two areas, Gamecube/Xbox/PS2 games for last area
3rd shelf: Atari 2600 games and a Sega Genesis model 1
img_20130612_091000_06grf1.jpg

One of my older TVs containing some more systems. This is in my front room.
2nd Wii & Atari 2600 can be seen.
img_20130611_234031_3vtq8s.jpg

Under this, you can see my Halo themed Xbox, N64, Sega Saturn, and Sega Genesis-32X-CD combined.
img_20130611_234049_8u2os2.jpg

Lastly is my oldest TV on hand in my bed room with my original SNES (1st system) hooked up. I'm also thinking of moving my Sega Master System up here. The top shelf stores any games I'm currently playing s well as controllers

So I may have found my new place. Putting in an offer this week after confirming some details.

What do you guys think? It's a bit of weird perspective shot but that living room area (where my tv would go) is as big as this wall. So it would be same setup with the tv mounted on the wall and white cabinet with speakers.

I really hate that flooring, but I like how open it is. Can we get more pictures?

Is that uptown dallas??

Downtown Vancouver. Crosstown/Victory Square area. Sorry to out where Tabris lives, but that red roofed building in the photo is super iconic in Vancouver (because it's like one of the only old buildings in town) so any Vancouverite would recognize the area. :)

It's a great location and great looking apt.

Sorry for derailing this thread but I love your guys feedback.

Outta curiosity, Tabris, why would you move? Your place is already baller status.

I'm currently renting. This is purchasing my own place.

And yes, this is in downtown Vancouver in the iconic Woodwards building.

I really hate that flooring, but I like how open it is. Can we get more pictures?

I prefer dark flooring but it's such a hassle to clean so I think I'm fine with the light flooring there. It looks better in person.

Here are some better pictures:

Danny Dudekisser

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Ah, yes. Owning is definitely preferable, especially when you come to the unfortunate realization that renting is basically just pissing money away.

Looks sweet from that shot, but yeah, need more pictures. I'll reiterate that I really think you should try and get a place with a separate room you can use as a home office, though.
