Titanfall 60 fps gameplay.

I hope the PC version has excellent controller support. If it does, I may spend the rest of my game time in 2014 playing this online. Give me the overlay you see in this demo, and don't strip aim assist out of it, and we're golden.

I have no idea what people are seeing in this. This doesn't look much different from all the Cawladoodys and stuff that people claim they were so tired of.

It's also extremely misleading to have the word Titan in the title of this game. I was expecting Shadow of the Colossus scale shit. These things are barely even mechs.

My first impression of that footage is it looked different then what they showed at the press conference.

The aliasing, textures, and FOV don't look as good.

I wonder if the floor footage is Xbox One and the conference was high-end PC

I noticed that too. I thought maybe the conference version was Xbox One and the floor footage was 360.

Usually wouldn't be into a game like this but actually looks really fun. This 60fps footage looks great as well.

It's cool to see two Titan's fighting and then infantry fighting each other nearby.
Love how quickly the mechs move.

Also, will get on 360 since ill be going with PS4 to start next gen

It's like we're soulmates.

I too crave for shooters to have proper movement speed, no shitty sprint button, no aim down sights (and strafejump modifiers)

edit: at least I have to give respawn credit for using source engine.

The only engine out there right now with acceptable netcode and low input lag.

You misspelled "my preferred".

Source is only dual threaded, so it can only use 1/4 of the power of a really weak CPU to begin with. Top that off with AMD's notorious per thread performance issues, and you begin to understand.

You are certainly not wrong about that. How does it compare to the Xbox 360 CPU though. I seem to recall Left 4 Dead 2 running just fine on that. Again, I really don't spend a lot of time with consoles these days, but it sure as hell sounds weird even for 1/4 of the new CPU to run into noticeable problems with a source game.

This is people's problem with ironsights? I thought it would be some legitimate issue with them.

I would argue that forcing training wheels on a whole genre is a pretty legitimate issue.

What are you talking about? That is the proper way to spell "proper" as in: the way it is meant to be.

Oh, I see you guys have good taste in games. Nice :p

It is too bad about this, though I always hold out home for a comp mode. IW in the past really listened to their comp scene and helped develop systems and game modes for them. I hope Respawn will do the same.

Why would you do that to yourself?

Have you played Halo/Counter Strike/TF2?
They are shooters that take real skill, strafing and aiming provide a skill-gap over military shooters.

Doesn't look as graphically impressive as some of the other games. Reminds me of MW3 on PC.

But it does look fun as fuck!
The visuals are cool enough and the game looks pretty awesome. I'll pick this up for PC.

I'll be curious to find out where the Xbone stacks up w/PCs in the real world (as in what components will be necessary to match or exceed it on competent ports). I'm sure it'll punch well above its weight in terms of pure spec, but just how much higher? In other words, I'll be interested to see if Titanfall runs similarly on Xbone and my GTX 570/i5-2500k/12GB RAM PC.

MW3 is embarrassing, graphically. I think TitanFall looks fantastic. Even compared to other next-gen games.

Sure as hell looks a generation ahead of Call of Duty: Ghosts.

I think that's a pretty poor comparison.

Titanfall didn't 'wow' me as much as The Division but I expected the game to look much worse since they said it ran on the Source engine. I was preparing myself to see Left 4 Dead-like graphics.

It looks like a very decent 2013 PC shooter in my opinion. Not mindblowing but I can't see anything worth complaining about. What sells me on this game is the typical 'CoD' feeling, Respawn's track record and the novelty of the universe and gameplay. I expect to have TONs of fun with Titanfall.

I think TitanFall looks considerably better than Hawken, which is a pretty fair comparison.

2012 PC exclusive UE3 mech-combat and easily one of the more visually impressive games available right now.

Have they announced Hawken for next-gen consoles, yet?

Not graphically impressive at all (as a next-gen game, to be specific), BUT at 1080p 60fps it should still look great. Might pick it up when/if it comes to PS4 down the line.

No ironsights requires more skills and is more interesting
Well, that's entirely subjective and I have no interest in skill-based shooters. I just want to have fun, not test my reflexes.
Also, if you don't want to use ironsights, pick SMGs + laser sights + Akimbo, it's a great way to feel, powerful and badass, without having to slow down.

Gawddamm this game. Makes me jelly so hard.

I'm not even sure my piss-poor PC can handle this at 60 without major sacrifices.

FUCK!!!!
Looks so good.

MS have me by the balls. I've already pre-ordered a PS4 but between this game, Killer Instinct, and Forza 5 I'm really tempted to get an Xbox One.
