Don't get Metal Slug XX until after you've gotten Anthology and only if you just have to play more Metal Slug.
It's a huge filesize and pricey for one Metal Slug game compared to anthology. It's an enhanced port of Metal Slug 7 from 3DS, and that's the SNK Playmore style Metal Slug from 4, 5 & 6. The one's with CG-esque backgrounds, reduced animation frames on the new art assets, sometimes questionable level design & imbalanced boss patterns. You'll notice the difference from 1, 2/X & 3. There's a kind of cool mission mode, but at the price, you'll likely feel like you could have done without it.
Also, as an FYI, don't buy the standalone Metal Slug 1 & 2 [Neo Geo Station] games in the PSP section. When I had my 8GB card, I thought I'd free up Memory Card space one time, becaue Anthology is like 700+MB and figured that having 2 Metal Slug's on-hand, at around 50MB was good enough to still get my fix. Nope. Framerate was so bad. It's like they're running off completely different emulation technology. Got myself a refund and re-downloaded Anthology.
Do get Shock Troopers, though. 32MB and one of SNK's best games... perfect for a quick arcade fix.
Whenever I try to download something on my Vita. I always get the following message:
Preparing to download...
Please wait.
Then it just sits there
If I cancel it I'm a stuck in PS store and I have to power off
I dunno, something bugs me about the new text -- it's very heavy handed or something -- I much prefer people who are fluent in both languages to give me a ... accurate translation of the gist of what's going on, not a word for word... so the Ignition text was probably closer to that.
Since it bugs me so much, I'm uncomfortable giving them $35 for it. When it's on sale, I'll suck it up and grab it and bear with it so I can experience the game (much the same as something like Okami where they use those stupid Charlie Brown type voices... Okami HD should've had an option to turn that fucking noise off).
I know I said good night, but I have to ask all of you: Would you like to see The Last Ninja remade for PS Vita? Use #lastninjavita to reply

I never played the original game. Is it worth it asking for a remake?

Watching This Youtube Video, I'd be up for it... but what exactly would happen?
Would it still be isometric? Would it turn into a beat em up? Would it still have awesome music? Would enemies still commit suicide if you outran them?
See, now if he said "It'll have graphics made by Vanillaware", I'd instantly scream a loud "YES! MAKE IT NAOOOO!", but... err... not enough info?
thanks that helped me alot. getting anthology then and checking out Shock Troopers. I do like to try out these oldies
also Odin Sphere or Grim Grimoire?
I'm in a bit of a pickle here, would appreciate suggestions or your opinion.
I just got a Vita and I have PS+ on my PS3, the thing is it's not on my main account. It's a separate UK account (I'm from Portugal) I created to take advantage of a good deal offering 1 year of UK PS+ for cheap.
1)Now I'm torn on what to do considering the + and the shitty fact that you can only have one user per card, because it doesn't really feel right to buy things for two separate PSN accounts, one of which has fake address information and such, but I want to enjoy these + games I have, especially if I decide to renew + once it ends in a year or so.
I think I'm going to buy a pack that has a 8 GB card+10 games so that means I need to decide which account will get those games. I'm torn, what do you suggest?
2) Can I transfer a save game to a different account?
3) Is 8 GB reasonable or is it too small? This memory card thing is bullshit of the highest degree.
Atelier Totori Plus: The Adventurer of Arland (Eng Ver) will arrive PS Store on 4 Jul.
According to comments on the Asia PS blog, Asia will get an English version of Atelier before it's September release in the US.
Hey, can the Vita play DLC for PSP games? Considering picking up the DLC for Valkyria Chronicles 2.
You're confusing their late release of Totori for our September release of Meruru, I believe. We've had Totori for months.
The answer is a "yes, but..."Hey, can the Vita play DLC for PSP games? Considering picking up the DLC for Valkyria Chronicles 2.
Hmm, I so would you say you like translation or localization more?
I think it depends on the story to me. When I know there are people of elegance and power involved, and the story is serious, I want them to sound just as formal, as regal, and as underhanded as the original text intended. I'd much rather have a "And he shall bear witness to my power!" rather than a "I'll show that bastard what I've got!"
If Japan's text explained a period drama, I want to get the same feeling from my own language; I don't want a work to go from feeling like an adult take on a subject, to a teenage pop drama.
Muramasa seems like it wants you to consider it's story, as much as it's action. It's been a long while, but I'm inclined to think the current translation understand this much more than the Ignition version, which simply treated the tale as a justification for you to mash slash into the next scene.
Brevity can be good, but when used incorrectly, it can simply be disrespectful to the author's intent.
The thing is, what you're saying you prefer isn't localisation.I can understand being true to the original, that's all well and good, but I prefer localization
One was talking like she was a modern day no-nonsense chick and the other was talking as someone who dropped out of 16th century England. I can only imagine it's similar throughout the whole game.
Vita Gaf, I must confess that ever since beating P4G there has been a huge Vita hole in my life
The thing is, what you're saying you prefer isn't localisation.
The purpose of localisation is to adapt content to provide an experience similar to that of the original work in it's target culture. It's to try and remove the cultural barrier.
Yes, in many cases, that means being more liberal with the translation, but it's for the purposes of being more 'familiar' to the culture of those who are playing it.
The thing is, in Muramasa's case they're meant to sound like they were dropped out of history. In the original Japanese game, the dialogue is the same.
For lack of a better, less brusque description - it is dated and overly wordy.
It would have had that same impression on players in the original language, so in order to accurately simulate that experience for players in a second language it must also be overly wordy in english. The new translation/localisation is designed to ensure that the experience of playing the game is preserved.
The "modern" translation used previously wasn't a 'better' localisation because it sounded modern and reads easier. It was a shoddy job that ignored the original presentation and character of the game.
(And I say this as someone who agrees that the original translation was an easier read).

Index is going bankrupt... doubt they'll be announcing anything new until their shit is together.Don't worry P5 announcement will come in 2013. BELIEVE

P3P will cover your persona needs.
Nope, samequick question:
on the vita store, MGS 2 +3 HD is sold in a collection but it also looks like you can get them separately. is the MGS3 HD any different from the one in the collection? i really only want that one.
Try to wait till Gamescon. That'd have the biggest possibility of a price-drop happening. On the verge of getting a vita...any chances of thier being a price drop soon or how often does the actual hardware go on sale (at Amazon, Best Buy, etc...)?
Nope, same
Thanks for the reply. My problem is that I already have a lot of things purchased on my main account that doesn't have PS+... Had I known it would bring a hassle like this I wouldn't have joined + on a different account.1. I am from South America but I have U.S. PSN account since the offerings for my region are just bs. I have always had that account and never looked back. I pay for all my games (except the ones I get with Plus) and services on that account, so I don't feel I'm doing anything wrong. I never use two accounts because it can be a real hassle. So my suggestion is to just pick the account you like and stick with it.
2. No idea since I've never used two accounts.
3. Since you have PS Plus an 8GB will not be nearly enough. Try to get at the very least the 16GB one.
Hope that helps! Enjoy your Vita!
Yes, it might be a good time for a price drop with Killzone Mercenary coming soon after that.Try to wait till Gamescon. That'd have the biggest possibility of a price-drop happening.

what kind of horrible advice is this?
Stay away from that P3P abomination, people. it's a very bad port and lesser Persona experience with a lot of stuff removed, don't support this crap port job.

just got my Vita. system is gorgeous!
