Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | July 2013 | Slow Month, Fast Games

Uh, wow. Yours are like mine, only all the definition of the raised things on the caps are MUCH more defined. Yours look like actual 360 sticks. Mine feel flat, and 4 raised "dots" that are trying to be like yours. Not to mention my bullseye aka Gamecube style sticks have more circles, but they aren't as raised. I am jealous as heck, but then again I am happy with what I have. Perhaps down the road I'll look at replacements.

Edit - and uh yea, sorry for the double post. All me windows are getting all mixed up.

Hmm, the ones I ordered from Ebay sound a lot like yours vs. the ones posted above.

Still looking forward to trying them out, but I can always order a different type later if these don't do it for me. I'll only be out $8.

So, where would one pick up those Gamecube-style stick covers?

They're the "bluecell" package of replacements. I have the "Gamecube-style" ones on mine at the moment too, but they're too hard. I want something with more rubber/grip. I was pissed when I got these and they weren't silicone.
I have now ordered the KMD ones and hope they will suit me better.

funny enough... the first gen of Bluecell Cross set were silicon then they changed them to plastic(some people at Amazon product page-in the reviews section you can still read it- were complaining about it).

Yup. I kinda like these ones personally. I feel like there's a little bit of grip, and I'd be afraid that the silicone ones would be prone to slipping.

Slipping is exactly what my thumb does if my hands get a little bit sweaty when using the hard plastic. The ridges don't cut it. I prefer something closer to the texture of the original Vita sticks but with the added height, etc. That's why I took a chance on these KMD ones...

:lol

Just what I always wanted...

VitaGAF, I need a rhythm game. Anything decent available in EU store? Preferably native to Vita, not a PSP port, and under £15 would be perfect, but i'm open to suggestions.

So Spelunky is still coming out in July for Vita right (according to that ad)? Because I saw that it's being released on August 8th for pc, but the store doesn't even update that day so it doesn't make sense for it to come out that day on vita.

Try Cytus Lambda on Playstation mobile if its available to you. Its great, has good tunes, and is much cheaper then DJMax if your on a budget. Its $12 here in the US.

I'm down.

Don't know if this has been mentioned.

Lumines: Electronic Symphony is dirt cheap on Amazon(US) this week.

Everyone get this.

I second this so hard. It's such an amazing game. If you have PS Mobile in your country you have to get this!

I know its been talked about in here before but I'm at work and I can't look it up, could someone please link me to some decent analog nubs? I need some concave ones. Thank you so much.

edit: To contribute I just started playing Lumins: ES and holy shit is that game fun. I get in a trance mode and zone out listening to the music. Everyone should have it.

edit2: Injustice on the Vita would be badass, MK was great.

This hopefully confirms that spelunky either coming tomarrow (doubtful at this point), or the 30th, as I doubt Sony will release both games on the same day. Im looking forward to both honestly.

I hope this is accurate, I wonder how likely it will be (if its true) that we could see it announced at gamescom. "If" at gamescom, we got Rainbow Six, Injustice, LittleBigPlanet 3, and one more First party game along with some solid indie announcements , a 128gb card, and some price fixing. think it would be a great show for Vita.

I wont get my hopes up though, hope for the best, expect the worst.

I thought the first 11 or so songs were free?

They are, but its $12 to unlock the entire game. Should have specified that in my post, but thats why I said "try it". I enjoy it quite abit, I was surprised how good the tracks are to be honest.

Anyone know the cheapest place to get Japanese PSN cards online? I'm in the UK so can't use my credit card, but since I've never had this problem before I have no idea where to look.

I've seen people recommend solarisjapan but I can't tell you if it's the cheapest option or not.

OK guys, I picked up a nearly new Vita off Craigslist today, with a 4GB memory card, Black Ops and HotShot Golf and a case for 150$. I stopped on my way home and bought a 3 month PS+ card.

This is my first Sony gaming device, ever.

Download Gravity Rush. Enjoy the queen. Welcome to the club. Really though, grab Virtua Tennis. It's fantastic even if you know nothing about tennis like me!

Congrats on the purchase! 5 things you need to do:

1. Buy a bigger memory card (16 GB+) to take full advantage of the free games on PS+.
2. Download the PS+ games, especially Gravity Rush and Wipeout 2048.
3. Buy Persona 4 Golden.
4. Try the Soul Sacrifice demo.
5. Contribute to this thread, of course. :D

Hard to really say, what kind of games interest you?

My personal Top 5 would be:

- Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
- Uncharted: Golden Abyss
- Guacamelee
- Hotline Miami
- Persona 4 Golden

There are so many games right at that level though.

-snip-

Lay it on me, top 5 first things to do with this baby.

1. Get a bigger memory card, especially if you just got Plus.
2. Rayman Origins
3. Muramasa
4. Hotline Miami
5. Any port of a game you haven't played (MGS HD Collection or P4G for example are MANDATORY) as some of the look and play amazingly well.

Enjoy your baby, and welcome aboard Vitabro!

Correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that the Super Robot Wars games dont come to the US because of licensing issues? I would love to get those games, as they look pretty fantastic, but it sounds like it would be a nightmare trying to collect all of the Licenes in the US, and probably not worth the effort unfortunately.

Most of the SRW games use licensed anime, but some don't. It's the case for the Original Generation series and its spinoffs such as Masou Kishin. So it could be localized, but it's now a problem of being waaay to late for that.

Atlus actually tried to bring over the first two OG games on GBA, but it came very late in the GBA life and they supposedly bombed pretty bad. They didn't bother with the PS2 remake/compilation of these games (which is a requirement, since it has pretty big changes to the story of the second game) nor the first sequel (SRW OG "Gaiden", essential to the overall plot), so there's no doubt no one is going to pick up the latest PS3 entry that came out late last year, nor any of the following games.

No one is ever going to bother with the licensed SRW.

new vita bro, make sure you buy:

32gb memory card
hotline miami
guacamelee
rayman origins
persona 4 golden
metal gear solid HD collection

Has anyone played Lego Batman 2? I know it's not a great port but I wonder if it's worth $5.

i have a physical copy i can mail to you if you want. it came with my bundle and i'd rather give it to a gaffer than get 3 bucks in gamestop credit

Don't get that Gurumin game Ramma, it's trash lol.

Cool about how Injustice is coming to the Vita. I'd love to buy it just to support developers bringing games to the Vita, but I'm gonna get the PS3 version when the price goes down a bit so I can play with my boyfriend and he can play whenever he wants. He's a big DC fan.

Wow, thanks for the offer! I'm in Brazil though so shipping alone would cost too much.

That bad though? :(
