Looks like Dunder has Castlevania back in stock for those interested. Three unclaimed copies as of this post.
Beautiful, I'm at work and Google Docs is blocked here. Looks like I'll never get this game for cheap
until a future Steam sale

Help me GAF: I am keeping an eye on Skullgirls after the praise it got here, but I am a bit scared. The last fighting game I played was SF2 Turbo back on the SNES. I bought SF4AE just before the summer sale but did not install it yet - I kept telling myself that I would have a terrible time because I'd be crushed by everyone and I would not have any fun. Am I correct?

Plus I only have a 360 Pad with its terrible D-Pad. Would a cheap PS3 Fightpad like this one work on the PC?

Add CapnDrake (also a GAF member) and you'll find he's above you in about 75% of levels.

My top 5 leaderboards all consist of some permutation of you, CapnDrake, Wario, Salsa, HoosTrax, and me.
What? That can't be. Does he have a hacked version of the game, where he can modify his score at leisure? If not, then I don't see how could someone be better than me at this game. Just when I found a game I thought I was good at, this happens :(

Never mind, I'll buy the DLC with card money and practice with Raz and Atlas until I can reach global #1 on every level, or I get tired of it. Whatever happens first.

They are all good games. I already have Guacamelee so I will have to go with Spekunky first then Papers second.

But Guac in even higher res should be good.

I will wait for reviews/impressions on Ducktales. My CapCom PR rep said that they are getting limited Steam keys, so Im not sure if I will get one.

Guacamelee will I get on sale since I already have it on my Vita.

Skullgirls is more like the Marvel vs series than Street Fighter in that it has air dashes, super jumps, assists and is generally more chaotic than a match of SF. The game does have a decent tutorial that tells you the fundamentals of a fighting game and the official community thread on Gaf is friendly to new people. Make no mistake that it'll be rough getting into any fighting game (or competitive genre really) but if you feel like you'll enjoy the learning experience then go for it. Since you missed a beta key, do you have a PS3 or 360 to download the demo and try out the game?

The fightpads are perfectly fine if you don't have a stick and MUCH much better than duking it out on a keyboard.

So who's getting Ducktales and/or Spelunky on launch?

Im gonna get Guacamelee and Papers Please. Spelunky looks interesting (Binding of Isaac Platformer) but im not in the mood for such a game. And i played Ducktales (The NES version) before so i dont care for the new one.

so the general idea of buying things from tf2outpost is:

find someone with good feedback trading the game for (x) amount of keys
friend them and discuss trade
buy (x) amount of keys (individually?)
trade?

correct?

Damn, I thought we were getting a game based on the House Un-American Activities Committee. Will you be able to root out the commie threat in time to save America, or will you choose to play as Charlie Chaplin or Dalton Trumbo and successfully destroy FREEDOM???

You can always try Spelunky's original freeware version. It's really great.

Sounds about right.

I was trying to trade for someone's copy of NWN2 in there.
Guy wanted about 60 keys. I told him good luck, I will wait until someone picks up the rights from Atari's corpse.

No way you are going to buy all those games. Doubtful you would even get through more than three.

Well I've already got Splinter Cell, SR4 is a definite, as is Spelunky.

My concentration levels are pretty poor so even if I do get them all, I'll give them some time each. I'm terrible at sticking with one game through to completion, although for some reason I'm finding I'm completing more games nowadays than I used to.

Man, that sounds like a great game. (Not even kidding. That really sounds like an interesting game.)
Almost as great as Titian Fall which I read about in the XBONER thread, which must be something about the renaissance painting The fall of man by Titian.

Is Thief II considered the best in the series?

That makes sense. If you have more fun playing games for a little bit and then switching over, then that is the best way to do it.

If I find myself not having fun with a game, then In just drop it. No reason to force myself to beat a game I am not enjoying.

Oh rock of ages, do not crumble, love is breathing still. Oh lady moon shine down, a little people magic if you will.
I love everything WayForward's done so far and I loved the cartoon, so yeah. I'm pretty psyched for Ducktales. :D

I had a dream last night that I was playing a video game where you visit a prison and hang out and Fidel Castro and Huge Chavez were both being held in the prison and then the US government overruns the prison with special forces who kill all the inmates.

And then you flashback and play a second campaign as one of the special forces, but after you finish that one and beat the game the government bombs and then nukes the prison to cover up all the evidence.

I blame watching Under the Dome and Orange is the New Black at the same time.

250 meg update for Sonic ASR Transformed too? Wouldn't be too surprised if they add in a Rome II unit or something as a playable character, they added "Colonel Winters" for CoH2.

edit: According to the Steam forums, that's exactly what it was.

Well, it kind of makes the third one less. Going from Thief II's sprawling levels to Thief 3's cramped 'hallways with loading-points' takes some getting used to.
Well, the crampedness sucks, but the Cradle is still a masterpiece, and most of the rest of the game is still more than worth it. It all balances out in the end!

Sounds like you were playing next year's Call of Duty campaign.
