So right now for Xbox 360 you need a special proprietary cable to charge your controller right? You can insert 2x Eneloop batteries and use the proprietary cable to charge them, but there's no way to use your own solution. With Xbox One you can use a standard non proprietary cable to connect to the Micro USB port in the controller to charge your batteries... am I missing something?

Yes you are missing something. You cannot charge Eneloop batteries while they're sitting in your 360 controller. It's just not designed to do that. The play and charge cable is only designed to charge the play and charge kit.

You do realize that the word unlimited means without limit. Meaning that I should be able to put 900 yottabytes of data on MS's servers which is greater than the NSA's data collection facility. It's just not possible and a stupid word to use in any advertisement.
There isn't 900 yottabytes of games/Xbox features. So it's impossible to achieve that. Ok listen I'm not trying to troll. I apologies my argument is to write off the possible significance of being able to use the cloud as storage is premature.

Oh, it's the same headset they're selling separately. That's pretty cool.

I thought they might just include some cheapo earpiece or something.

No, that's not accurate. For the 360, the (proprietary) P&C kit only charges the MS pack (as far as I know) but for regular AAs you need your own charger.

With the One, the USB cable will charge the MS battery pack but not AAs where you still use your own charger. The only difference is they now use a standard micro USB cable which will also communicate with the console when connected.

That's fine, but to tell someone that they're wrong for calling the word "unlimited" a marketing term isn't accurate. Companies used to get around this by using the word "virtually". It's "virtually unlimited" because it is so unlimited that you will never reach its limit. But simply saying "unlimited" and "infinite" is not accurate and is purely marketing.

I'm still underwhelmed by this console, nothing about it appeals to me at all. It's ugly, a required camera, a massive power brick, unappealing price point, punitive Live system and horrible PR.

Still, thanks for keeping Sony on their toes.

real talk.

there's only 44640 minutes in 31 days, why do these cellphone companies claim i have "unlimited minutes" when this is so obvious?!?

What word should MS use then? "You can use as much space until our servers are full" ?
You are not limited to an allocated quota on their cloud storage == unlimited.

Microsoft you're cold and you're hot you're no and you're yes you're out and you're in you're down and you're up.

My Xbox One preorder receipt is barely staying in my wallet. Just barely. Give me a good Gamescom MS.

Well advertising something that is so unlimited that you probably won't ever reach the limit they used to say "virtually unlimited".

For some reason in advertising, they've dropped the "virtually" from their statements. Now you have bullshit like "infinite power of the cloud". Really? The power is infinite?

Fair enough I was just trying to prove a point not to disregard this feature just because the term unlimited sounds rediculous. When I originally posted saying to include unlimited storage to the list I put that in quotes. I apologies if I wasn't clear with my words.

Ahh ok, I use Eneloops but I thought I could connect the play & charge kit cable to charge them, I just never have because I always have a spare charging on the wall charger and then swap batteries when needed. Now that I think about it, the battery pack ignores the springs and has a metal contact in the middle, that's probably where any charge coming from the controller would go, if that's the case with the One, then you'll have to use the wall charger for the Eneloops, at least that solves anyone exploding their controllers trying to charge Alkaline batteries, makes sense now.

Let's not get hostile here.

Those who wanted an XB1 would've gotten one even with the initial policies/items.

Those who changed their mind and decided to get an XB1 post-DRM reversal would've liked this extra benefit, but it's really just that. A small extra benefit. Even if MS didn't do this, you'd still get one.

Those who didn't change their mind on the XB1 even after the DRM reversal most likely wouldn't get an XB1 with just this little addition, because it's pretty much inconsequential.

Different folks, different strokes. Let's just get along with our respective choices without egging each other.

Why use this guy for the unboxing vid? I don't understand how MS can use him for PR, he is the face of the whole announcement fiasco.

I call bullshit saying unlimited cloud storage is a marketing term. Fanboy post right there.
You have no idea on how to feature works. Assuming with get you nowhere. We can only go off of what we know and what MS claims.

I AM going off of what we know and what they claim, and what they're claiming is an account system like we already have for PS3 and XB360.

Read what MS said again.

Hardware wise, I really feel like Microsofts console is gonna be more reliable in the long run. I think they just went as safe as possible to eliminate as much hardware failure as possible. Can't wait

What does that have to do with anything in a comparison between the Xbone and PS4?

But isn't the norm is that if a game is available on anything other than a sony handheld platform, it can't be counted?

At least, that what's all those other comparisons threads told me.

Uhh not sure what' you are referring to. The only thing we know is they are offering unlimited cloud storage....?
I just re-read a few stories...

Nice headset. I think everything in the box is really worth $499 now. Xbox 180 indeed, but as long as it turns towards the favor of gamers that's fine with me.

On another note, why all the thumbs down on the video? There's night wrong with it whether you're getting the console or not lol

Haha, they pull a Saturn. "Xbox One is available on store shelves at select retailers RIGHT NOW!"

The difference is Saturn was rushed to beat Sony but had no games ready to go with the hardware, BIG mistake. Games like Virtua Fighter were rushed and glitchy and the good titles weren't going to be ready until the end of the year, they were better off launching together with their best games and getting more polish for their launch titles, sucks that there was no way to patch games either.

Also, Saturn launched in May lol nobody buys games or consoles in the summer :p however a September launch for Xbox One would be perfect, and if the games and production units are ready, there's no need to wait until November.

You must not have seen Titanfall. [/joke]

Anyway, comparison charts/threads are never 100% objective.
Just list all the games, and worry about excluding stuff afterwards.
