My last wish is Xbox One to support Occulus Rift, and I'M done.
Oculus Rift + indie games + Kinect could have some nice outcomes :O

There is no Xbox One

This is incredible news!
Personally, I enjoy knowing that Microsoft is actually listening to feedback (which has been resoundingly negative, but slowly shifting).
Jokes on you, there was no Xbox 360.
Microsoft wasn't specializing in logical thinking this year.Logical thinking wouldn't even doubt the inclusion of a headset. It's one of the reasons Xbox Live is where it is today.
Are you high bra?If Microsoft would say on the E3 stage that there would be no headset in the box, you'd still find a headset in the box. It's one of those common sense things, regardless of what MS sais.
A dark and evil philosophy? No.Do you really think that company like Microsoft has one dark evil philosophy, to gobble you up and take your money and laugh at you while doing it? This sort of self-fulfilling prophetic thinking will allow you to assign any positive they do, as a negative. What's MS's dark plan? To make money? Guess which company has that philosophy?
All of them.

Thats b/c you think its out of care but they are doing it b/c they are worried about their wallets
Because they're often talk shit.
Unlikely. 5GHz isn't something they can just toss in the box. They'd have to submit it to the FCC for approval.still annoyed that sony did go cheap and not including 5ghz wireless. hope they are the ones who do a 180 on that.
Another question this brings up. Only 20 of these "final" boxes exist? Well if they can insert a headset this soon before launch, why can't they insert the Day One patch on a disc? Isn't logistics of inserting a disc in all the already-produced boxes the reason apologists said it couldn't be done? What's the excuse now?

For a cheap headset? What, were you only 98% IN before? Thanks you, Microsoft.
That was my last hold up. Now I'm 100% IN.

You're probably right. They're doing the same thing with Forza 5 after all. Shipping an unfinished retail game, and requiring a Day One patch for it to work.its pretty obvious that they were always planning on a day 1 patch. Allowing more time to make sure every feature in the OS works accordingly.
It gives them an extra few months to polish the OS which is always a good thing
Many are excited about the headset because now we don't have to deal with as many people using Kinect as a mic on XBL.For a cheap headset? What, were you only 98% IN before?

More 180's. Major Nelson is such a terrible spokesman. He should go on one of those TV Shopping Networks.
Dat awkward moment when he pulls out the huge power brick.
So you can't use an off the shelve bluetooth mic? I'm completely ignorant to Xbox accessories.
Ahh, so you're one of those hindsight geniuses! While I've got you on the line, what where last week's lottery numbers?

I'm not sure I get the (some of) GAF hate towards power bricks. My current Xbox brick is beneath my entertainment center where I literally never see it. So that is where the Xbox One brick will go; so can you help me understand the dislike here?
It's pretty huge, like somebody else mentioned it means the ENTIRE user base has a headset, one of the reasons Live took off in the first place.
Agreed. After the experiences of this gen, I'm fine with putting a premium on reliability and quietness.Maybe it's just me but I don't mind external power bricks at all. I'd rather have a quiet and cool system over a built-in power supply. I don't know how Sony is doing it but I just feel like there is going to be a problem with it down the line.
Great choice on the headset, but...

Is the headset only in Day One edition?

Yeah it seems that way haven't seen this with consoles since Sony got rid of the boomerang controllerIs this their new strategy? Reverse every announcement?
Assuming USB hubs work on PS4, that is one solution.I can remove that sticker, what I can't change is the damn front only USB ports on the PS4 when I get it. WTF were they thinking?

To be fair, I embellished a little in stating that it would recognize the products you are using for targeting advertising, but from their advertising team, it is definitely going to be used to help produce more targeted advertising.
