This is crazy, we keep on getting truth bombs about xbox but absolutely nothing from sony. Sony must have some kind of iron clad NDA or something, the last leaks we got on them were the early specs with only 4GB of ram (release dates don't count).

I don't think he means that (s)he'll be giving us more information next week. I think (s)he just means we'll get more details around GamesCom next weekend, which will give us more insight into things (s)he's already said.

MS said it's because of localization, so quite frankly I'll take their word over some forum poster who can't type properly.

I mean I tried to learn swedish and norwegian once, it's super hard guys seriously.

This is going to get interesting. I always love hearing the behind the scenes stuff that would never be talked about otherwise.

He's been proven to be a provider of solid info in the past.

More next week? Isnt Gamescom next week?
Next week better be good news because that would suck to have more bad stuff drop during Gamescom.

I wonder how much they will even have for launch if they have to further cut countries out of getting the console?

Not buying the translation explanation, they must have production issues. CBoaT never disappointing.

MS is one of the largest publicly traded companies in the world. Wouldn't it be obligated to release information about yield issues on a major hardware release if it were true?

Look, I believe CBoat proved himself in some way to the mods, which is why he's allowed to continue to post.... But what bothers me is all this vague "wait till next week" bs that could mean absolutely ANYTHING. Then when whatever happens...CBoat validated!!

Gamescom will beat a hoot for sure.

Why? They are not publicly revealing how much the system costs to manufacture, other than (for whatever reason) that post about $100 million to create the Xbox One's controller. They set forecasts and miss them (just like Nintendo). Just because yields are bad doesn't mean they can't meet demand. It just means they are taking greater losses (more bad chips) and having to make more chips to meet demand.

He quoted his own post, which had some specific claims, and doubled down on it, promising an update/vindication next week. It will be pretty easy to tell whether he was on the mark or not.

Why are you bothered by something that happened next week when next week hasnt happened yet? :p

I get what youre trying to say but I dont recall any other time where CBOAT left a vague "wait til next next" post and then next week happened and we all came running to validate him. Hes usually pretty specific (in a CBOAT manner of speaking) and, for the most part, what he says is legit.

Why should they? They probably have translation issues on top of that, so they can easily blame that and sweep the production issues under the rug. If they didn't have production issues they would just launch in these countries with an incomplete dash and no voice recognition and just patch it in later. They even implied they are having problems with this tiny bit "and in order to meet demand". If they didn't have production issues, they would be easily able to meet demand (especially since pre-orders are still low compared to PS4).

What's left to be confirmed within that post? Or better yet, something that's realistically going to be confirmed by Microsoft next week.

Hmm I think you're misinterpreting his post. I think he's implying that his bit about esram yield problems relates to today's announcement of delays in some Euro countries. And the 'more to come next week' will be him revealing more news that may or may not be connected to this issue next week.

I wanted to dominate the living room. Then I took an ESRAM in the knee.
So can we expect some bad news about Xbox one tech next week?

If they are generally rushing their schedule, I can see them having issues on the software side was well. In those situations software is usually considered as something that can be modified/fixed close to launch or weeks/months after launch. (Just look at Wii U).

As far as I know, they haven't shown a real in-depth UI presentation either, since the demo at the reveal was faked. So maybe some functions and services will also be delayed.
