This is the time for MS to shine. Announce a date 2 weeks before PS4 launch and they can be sure to get some of the early adopters, and thus mindshare from the core/opinion makers.

They have to be trying to beat the 15th of November. It is their only hope at stealing some PS4 momentum at this point.

I think they'll reveal an early release date to get some momentum. They're probably skipping some countrys to come out 2/4 weeks before Sony in us/main-eu.

So the 5th november really could be true.

"Worldwide announcement" does not necessarily imply a single date for all countries. I am just skeptical because Europe traditionally gets screwed. Nevertheless, I hope that they release on the same date. More fun for everybody.

I guessed 26th worldwide ages ago so I will stick with it.

I was attending microsofts E3-press-conference and believe to have spotted "November 21st" on the teleprompter. But the guy just said november - so... did my eyes trick me? Was the information withheld last minute? Did plans change meanwhile?

I predicted November 29th because its Black Friday and would just make for some crazy super launch mayhem. However, Even with Microsoft being a little crazy with the Xbox One Announcements, I dont think they are that stupid.

US/CA is the main market for Xbox One so one week won't change anything in the mind of people since it's already a big Xbox country.
