I can't believe that isn't a factor for a group that seems pretty hardcore about COD, really surprising to me

My group of friends is buying COD day one for the 360, upgrading to the Xbone when it releases for the $10 gamestop upgrade.

Ideally, they'll call up the people toward the bottom of the list and break the bad news about a week or so before launch. Of course, what Mihael said is the likely outcome.

The wording from infinity ward is so suspicious, so I'm pretty confident they're coming to PS4. Saying you're not allowed to talk about it is pretty suspect, not to mention they're still avoiding confirming or denying it.

Regardless, I'm getting it for all platforms just for the collection.

That's how we did it. We would call the people the morning of the midnight launch and let them know their system would be there. Of course, that didn't stop the people who didn't get called from showing up, and at the same time, usually two or three people wouldn't have the money to pick up their system that day. It was never a 1-to-1 amount though.

The MS Store website is operated by Digital River, who have made a complete clusterfuck of several in-demand launches. Good luck with that one.

Last time I checked MS store still takes orders and guarantees free release day shipping. They don't charge you anything until they actually ship it too. You can order from them and cancel your GS pre-order if you want, there is still time.

They messed up on my MvC3 preorder but I think Microsoft would have plenty of units for their own retail outlet (they probably give themselves a priority) and two separate times chat representatives told me that everyone who ordered from them will have their system by release day.

Even though I preordered on June 10 when the world hated the Xbox One and my order says it will be delivered on 11/22 by 8:00 until I get my "Your Xbox One Day One Edition has Shipped" email from Amazon I will remain nervous about it actually being delivered that day.

you know I think I am going to look into that and cancel my GS pre-order

I told him I pre-ordered on June 11 and that I have a Day One edition and asked if that guaranteed my place to get on launch and he told me if I was not too far back in the line. :/

Cool, at the very least you can play it safe and have it preordered from both and decide which one to keep when you get closer to launch. That way nothing bad can happen, you can always cancel either or choose not to pick up a GS unit. Hope things work out for you!

I ordered mine through the Microsoft Store via the Dashboard so I am also nervous about getting it on the 22nd. I better or there's going to be hell to pay.

ha did the same here, I just didn't feel like going and dealing with the people at GS(lame new management at the one near me). I'm a little nervous, but I figure they should be able to get their own product to me.

ha I think the real question is, will they sell their ps4 when the X1 comes out so they can get the dlc maps early? Surely if they can't wait a week to play, they can't wait a month to get the dlc. Haha :)

I wish I had the money to buy the collectors edition of Call of Duty for every console (not saying that I would spend that money on CoD mind you, that's just silly).

Hey guys, I live in Belgium and I just preordered the xbox one ghost bundle (only one they had). Now is it possible for me to use the UK store or US because I don't speak german.. Anyone knows?
Btw I preordered on amazon germany.

That's true. If it wasn't coming, they'd say no. If it wasn't coming and they had a deal in place with MS, they'd still say no. If it is coming and they have a deal with MS not to talk about it, they'd say "we're not allowed to talk about it".

Hi, I live too in Belgium. I preordered mine yesterday on Amazon France. I'm pretty nervous and I hope we will be getting ours without problems.

I was asking myself the same question. Will I have access to any marketplace or should I buy at least one disc-based game? Because my goal was to go all digital.

BTW, can I ask you why you did order on Amazon Germany? Are they more reliable? This is the first time I order something on Amazon.

I ordered from Amazon because they're the only ones who actually seem to ship to Belgium. I'm sure Amazon is a reliable site, however I don't think we'll get it at november 22, more like a few days later. The only thing I'm worried about is that they accept my prepaid credit card as I don't have one.

I do wish there was an option to already pay it though, would give me more reassurance about it.

What you can try is, buy gift cards with your prepaid credit card. And then add them to your account so the preorder will pay itself.

When I ordered mine, I choose the 1 day delivery. The estimated date I received was the 22nd november. That's why I'm nervous because I know it won't arrive until the next business day. I hope it won't mess up.

Forgive me for asking, but where did the Xbox One and PS4 specs get released in detail? Everyone is quote specs and numbers and crunching the differences, but as far as I can find nothing is officially out. Is everything from leaked sources?

I wouldn't worry too much, you're lucky to get the day one edition it's a bit cheaper I think. I hope to get the ghost edition in november but I'm pretty sure we'll get to play before the ps4 launches. ;)

I preordered the day one edition on amazon.fr aswell now, it's cool that they still had in stock. I picked the 1 day shipping to Belgium which costs a little extra.
