Have you played RDR and MP3 yet? I think Rockstar stepped up their game, just from those titles, since GTA IV. They have implemented IMO the best of this gen into GTA V; I just can't see it being a disappointment.

Neither can I, full confidence in Rockstar.

I don't know why, but I didn't get on the GTA IV hypetrain till about a week before the game came out. I had always been extremely excited about the ones before, too. The wait for V is nothing like any other game for me, it is making the days crawl insanely slow.

What settings did you use?

I'm not a huge mod PC player- I only joined the Master Race, last year and am still learning. That being said I was so glad to join the ranks.

I asked about Sethos because his guide helped me install/love the ENB & Ice Enhancer for IV (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=485905) I was pretty god damn amazed. After falling intro graphical glitches and problems trying to install cars, I just dumbed it back down to Vanilla.

I always loved Vampire's modded GTA screens- like that was what I wanted to try to emulate, but I love vanilla. Dropping back to console has been very enjoyable still, I love IV.

I wondered if they explored that. With modern tech, I think they could have made an ocean on one side/most sides/ with an endless desert on the other that basically acts the same as an ocean.. Turning you back when you go to far. The issue is, obviously, planes and vehicles allow you to access areas that you couldn't in a game like RDR.

But, I think with an endless desert of repeating patterns (that eventually turns you around if you go too far) they'd be able to achieve somethign similar to endless ocean of repeating patterns.

They should have the endless levels like in ExciteBike for the N64. I could cruise on that forever. Eventually just have it wrap around to the map after like 30 minutes.

I think the island is probably the best option though with current tech. But flying an airplane North for an hour only to 'go around the world' and end up flying in South on the map would be pretty awesome. I'd watch the youtube videos.

Seriously considering the Limited Edition Brady guide.

I think I might cave pretty soon, the problem is that I'll flip through it a couple times for cars or locations then probably won't look at it. GTA guides never really did much for me in the game.

Decisions, decisions ....

Wow I never realized that Luis was in the military for some reason until I saw the picture in his apartment today. Explains why he's so good at murdering drug dealers...

This some funny shit lol. Next-gen? Whatever. I just wanna play this game.

It's more realistic! That's why I don't think there shouldn't be a GTA MMO. If there was more than 16 insane criminals running around Los santos, the world would be too different!

lol more realistic? How is a huge city with only 16 criminals more realistic?

People steal from you before you deposit your money in a bank which will typically occur once you've won money from a mission which implies everyone is in the same area having just worked on the mission together.

Yeah but like most people I'll be playing those missions with my friends, not randoms. So yeah we'll probably all split the pot evenly and maybe just rob each other every now and then for kicks. But I imagined it was all of the other randoms in the room that posed the threat of losing the cash you just earned.

Plenty of room to go off on my own without a clusterfuck of players everywhere getting in my way and constantly killing each other, as well as plenty of room to stake out and hunt other players whenever the mood takes me. I think it's more than ideal for my needs.

That is the silver lining here. I don't know how many times in Red Dead where I was just goofing around shooting at stuff when some dipshit would ride over me on his buffalo.

I wonder if when you're not in a mission and you switch characters, what happens with them if you switch out. Like dive down in the ocean with Trevor then switch to Franklin. Does Trevor continue straight to a pre-determined location or will he just mill around in that area?

I think I'll drive the characters close to each other then just follow the other one for a while.

I have no idea. Please use biscuit analogies or flavours of crisps.

That thread is the nice new pack of Jammy Dodgers. I'm the tired, slightly stale garibaldi left at the bottom of the tin.

And you really should be watching Sons of Anarchy btw.
