I hope that you don't think I'm negative towards the PS4. I'm only asking because he was quoting me in the post that you quoted (inception). My point is that I'm not negative to anything, which is why I buy everything. I'd love for the PS4 to really sing with multiplats. It'd mean that devs were taking into account the hardware that I bought.

If there is PS4 elitism then you exclude PC, but then people include PC, hence PC elitism.
I think when talking about any console being the graphically definitive version of a multiplatform game then it should go without saying.
Don't bother with the apology. He always throws down a semi-compliment before he lays down the PS4 shade.

I just woke up to find this after my last post was in the Ubi thread yesterday, I let out a physical hysterical laugh. It was glorious XD (not because I want the Xbone version to suck, just that the irony is stacking up against Microsoft at this point and they kind of deserve it)
I know about that and it's not what I'm interested in, I meant to use it like Aiden's phone or have that same functionality the Wii U'd hopefully get. The game's coming with mobile apps that connect to it, but I'd rather just have the controller do the same stuff.

I'm pretty sure when people are talking about the definitive version, they are talking between the consoles. It's understood that a gaming PC would crush the consoles, so it really doesn't need to be brought up =)
Oh you mean like second-screen stuff? Not sure about that one. We know it has an app compliment, but I doubt it'll use the Vita like the Wii U.

Apparently now the PC version is so the definitive version we just don't need to mention it anymore. In fact let's just pretend that all of PC gaming is a completely separate entity and that it just doesn't exist.

For current gen I struggle to see the differences normally, this might not be the case next-gen if the difference is 1080p and 720p, since this is noticeable to the naked eye and does not need a side by side comparison.

I don't think any site can say PC version will be the definitive version since that depends on the PC and the version of Windows/DirectX.
I expect one of the most entertaining things about it could be the PS360 vs. WiiU section. or just the fact that it's a PS360 vs WiiU and not a XB1 vs. PS4 vs. WiiU.

It's all in the semantics. Like I've posted earlier, unless you have 4k monitors and a quad Titans, you won't get the definitive version. And in the near future when there are better gpus, you'll have to replace those quad titans for the "definite" version. Arguments like these are always ego stroking in my opinion.
The title of the article is a click bait. The quotes in the article doesn't mention anything about the ps4 version being the definite version.
They do seem to be favoring Sony quite a bit right now though, so it definitely seems more likely than, say, EA remembering to bother if they had any Wii U versions of games coming anyway.
True, it generally IS common sense PC's best, because if it isn't then either there's some console-only quirk that really works well with the game like second screen functionality or they royally fucked up.
If there's enough headroom to lock the PS4 version at 60 then I agree, that's pretty fucked up. Link?

Not at all. The last time I checked PCs aren't fixed hardware and they aren't consoles. The main focus is on consoles, as usual, and people are focused on the next gen consoles.

Uhh no. A 660ti is enough to run WD at a better quality than the ps4 plus if I'm not mistaken WD will get exclusive visual features from nvidia. You think 4k is needed to top consoles when 1080p isn't guaranteed at the moment? Not to shit on the consoles like you're shitting on PC users, but the PC version is gonna see higher assets on top of better performance.

It's more like people in here being such a stickler for 100% accuracy of every sentence. Everyone knows the PC version will always be the best and everyone should have known what the statement in the OP and thread titles actually meant, that it's the definitive console version. But let's get all offended that they didn't say it the most correct way.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one on the internet who understands what comments are implying instead of just taking them at 100% face value.

I swear the future better not make ANY room for that BS.....otherwise I don't understand the difference in architecture if that is going to be the case....I mean who cares? Just copy the other platform's hardware and label them Sony or MS and all games released for each platform will be the same given the 'parity for political reasons' at the end of the day. Just use each platform to its fullest (and creative) abilities, which ever console is unable to do this or that, that is on the architects that designed said console and nothing more.
That is nothing more than an arbitrary qualifier. The PC is a platform that runs this game in the same capacity as the consoles. All this says to me is people want to have their cake and eat it too.
