The beasts are modeled after Japanese mythology sumi-e paintings. The regis are literally elemental blocks. Its stuff I would throw together while bored in a 5th grade math class. They are so simple in design that they ARE shitty, they don 't have a cute gimmick like diglett or ditto to save them either. There is no majestic aura around their design, they just look like derpy bots whipped up by an 8 year old.

I'm just bummed that none of the new generations Pokemon are getting Megas. Seeing that Megas are the big new feature it seems like a missed opportunity, especially with the new starters and Legendary Pokemon.

The problem that I have is that Game Freak seemed to focus on Mega Evolution, which are useless to me and aren't new Pokémon or proper evolution.
Having only 70 new Pokémon is a bad thing in my book as I rather use a new Pokémon for each of my playthrough.
Lmao, like Eevee was going to evolve with a moon stone that boat has long gone since gen 1.
Reviews have mentioned that, with the new Exp Share (it shares experience to your whole party), it's easier to swap and change your party around a lot because there's much less level parity between the individual Pokemon.
No, not really. Fewer pokemon gives them less designs to focus on and thus more time to make them better. GF has already put out a lot of crap pokemon, and lowering that has clearly has given them time to create better designs for this gen.
Also, they're doing a lot of MegaEvolutions which have to be designed as well. Counting megas, we're probably close to the number of new designs we get in a generation.

No - according to the story they're fining the store like $2000+ per copy that wasn't returned to them. Nothing was done to the people who bought the games.
They aso noted was that, if it wasn't for people like Kostdin posting pictures on Instagram, they would've overlooked the street date break since it tends to happen.
We're at 68, so it's looking less likely now than it did beforehand.
We'll probably end up around 80.
Went to 4Chan and read the news. Leaker isn't getting fined, store is. Up to $2000 for each leaked copy. Honestly, doesn't seem that unfair to me. If a store leaks something, they should have to pay.

I'm still in despair that Leafeon exists, and doesn't need a leaf stone. I mean c'mon!
Also, I'm in the camp that's pretty ok with fewer new ones. I'd rather not have multiple thousands of Pokemon after a couple of decades, and it would be easier for the devs going forward too. I'd like to see the number of new ones gradually decrease per iteration, leveling off at 1000-1500 eventually.
