Sony's PS4 Team Makes Disabled Fan's Day

they have vouchers ready printed to give people free PS4s? is that likely?

Do Sony make it a habit of fucking over disabled people so much that they need a stack of pre-printed vouchers to make them go away? (sarcasm)

Maybe the vouchers were made for fans at the expo like for a tournament/raffle prize or something, who knows.

So how long before a higher up at MS hears about this, panic ensues, then they try to hurriedly track down these people they turned away, and give them free XBones?

On a more non-sarcastic note, nice work by Sony.

Nothing! I said nothing!
Is it this event?

19. Wheel Chair Accessibility

Is the Sydney Showground and the EB EXPO wheel chair accessible?
The SSG is a fully wheel chair accessible venue with lifts servicing both the car park and the first floor.
Some small aspects of the EB EXPO inside the exhibition halls will not be wheel chair accessible.
Some Vendor partners have expressed interest in expanding their exhibition spaces into a second story. The second story of these spaces will only be accessible via stairs and thus are not accessible by a wheel chair.
Wheel Chair seating has been accommodated for inside EB Arena offering a full uninterrupted view of both the stage and the screens.

Something I'm missing. What kind of exhibition hall doesn't have an elevator?

Yes, this seems suspect. And the only source is a facebook post?

Well, I would definitely not consider this as fact based on that. Possible? Sure, but I don't think it is likely that this happened.

Edit: Seems to be more likely, apparently there are indeed no elevators to the second floor.

Why are you reading my tag instead of the title of my post?
Dear god, this is going to catch fire fast. I really hope this is real.

None of this should be considered fact lol

Good if true, but is the only source a post on facebook? Like...that's it?

Edit: better, a post on reddit too! I lol'd at this part...

The gamers then made their way over to the Microsoft/Xbox One area of the convention and were simply told, "Sorry, it's upstairs, you can't try it" and sent off without even a simple apology.

Sounds legit.

Yeah... this smells of bullshit to me. I can't believe even under their current run of shit, MS PR would be this bad. And, what, did the Sony representatives at the show just have vouchers for free PS4s out the back? Is that typical for an expo?

Not to discount Sony's response which was truly fantastic, but this seems to be going out of the way to paint MS more negatively. They obviously did apologize if the quote is accurate.

What are these vouchers? Does Sony get the people's information and ship out a console? Can you walk into a GameStop and show them this thing?

I read it as they gave their contact info to Sony, and I assume they will be delivered on launch day. I don't see vouchers mentioned anywhere.

I'm guessing these vouchers are advance "pre-order" tickets Sony bought for themselves to pass along to business associates/friends. This could be true but I'm kind of skeptical.

Whatever, Sony clearly lost this round. That massive $1600 they lost will surely sink them forever :p

Good on them for making up for something that, to be honest, is really on the venue more than them.

Microsoft provided the standard response though, but I bet they'll make up for it here too. SHOWER THEM IN XBONES

It's not about a company or its PR state. What kind of human being would dismiss a disabled person without an apology ?
The free consoles thing may be true and it would be a nice move, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some exaggerations in that story...
