If 360 and PS3 were holding them back, then why not just delay those? Let me say, my "wow" was because that is some serious speculation. Why would Ubi just do Microsoft this favor of delaying it for PS4 too? Seems pretty implausible.

They wouldn't be doing them a favor, iirc it's part of the licensing claus for publishing on Xbox. The Xbox version has to release day and date of the other consoles. That's why the completely finished Wii U version of Rayman Legends was held back for almost a year while they worked on the PS360 versions.

I don't understand why "The Crew" is also delayed. This article came out in July and they were almost don't porting to PS4 and were even discussing special PS4 optimizations.

This sucks MASSIVE balls since I pre-ordered the game via the PS4 bundle through Amazon. However, props on Ubisoft for realizing that the game needed more work and deciding to actually give the game more development time.

I don't think some people understand how huge of a move this is, they already promised the game to be bundled with PS4's at launch. There is tons of advertising devoted to this, and they have now lost the ability to be a launch game which would boost sales. They literally just said "screw all that, this game ain't done yet."

Props, though next time realize this quicker.

it was a financial decision. releasing both Assassins Creed 4 and Watch Dogs in the same time frame would prevent both games from meeting projections.

I mean the only logic behind this is that Sony believes if you continue throwing shit against the wall, eventually its going to stick. And DR3s struggling to hit 30fps...KI3's giving you a little bit at a time business model...FFS. We as gamers should demand better.

Anyone have a link to the 'bad' footage people are talking about? I've only seen a couple videos, one of them was the first showing on a PC which I thought looked great. Then another on PS3/360 which was bad visually but I assumed it was just because it was on current consoles. Did the PC version change? Was something else downgraded?

I'm happy about that delay. Every single impression I read of it from Gamescom and subsequent showings was completely negative. Nothing good to say about it. That might just be what they chose to use as a demo, but it didn't fill me full of hope. Moreso than WD, I hope The Crew turns out well.
