Dammit. This was my most anticipated launch game. I didn't see any of the jank that Y2Kev saw. What I saw was a mix between GTA and Assasin's Creed with some badass emergent shit thrown in with the hacking.

Oh well. I'd rather it be late and better.

So now that Watch_Dogs both sucks and isn't even being released this year, what game will join Bioshock Infinite, Grand Theft Auto V, The Last of Us and Super Mario 3D World in the end-of-year Best of 2013 finalist lists? Because media pundits will need to pretend they're considering a full 5 nominees before handing out GOTY awards to either GTAV or TLoU.

What will be Game #5 on these lists?

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds?

This is kind of a good thing, I think, because Ubisoft was going to release Assassin's Creed 4 and Watch Dogs around the same time.

However, not good for people expecting to play this game on launch, and also who got the bundles.

I admit, it does make next gen launch less enticing. Still picking up my PS4 though. Just not sure what game I'm going to get now.

It may seem that way but there are a lot of games I don't like.

Anyway, just because I say or think a game looks good doesn't mean I think it's incredible. I just didn't see anything wrong with this one personally. I can easily do without it.

Hopefully Rockstar announces surprise GTA5+ for next gen with a good character creator, less bugs, revising leveling system that isn't based on F2P the model, and 32-64 player support.

As far as I know, the PS3 version of FFXIII was delayed because of the 360 version, so it wouldn't be unheard of.

GTA IV was also delayed due to the PS3.

I think what it needs is a more futuristic setting. The setting has this super-advanced interconnected network, yet the city is still modern day.

Watch Dogs needs to embrace the awesomeness of cyberpunk more. There's elements of it, but not enough.

It would make no sense to cancel the game, they already put a bunch of money into it and plus by Spring next year WiiU will have even more sales, from this Holiday, from DKCR 2 buyers and Mario Kart WiiU buyers, plus less games coming out at that time on WiiU so its a bigger win on the WiiU side of things for them.

Actually I'm a little excited at this, remember how the delay benefited Rayman Legends? I'd like to see Watchdogs get an extra polish.

Also hopefully this means The Crew gets enough breathing room away from all those other racing games to get attention. The potential in that game is huge, but if it doesn't get a large community it'll end up turning into another Blur.

Tomb Raider was a fantastic game and an awesome rebirth of the franchise. Deal with it.

Delays this late in the development cycle are never a good sign. Especially when they had so many promotional materials made already.

Clearly, Ubisoft realized releasing so soon to GTA would just make the smallest of problems even more noticeable in Watch Dogs. Unfortunate, but based on what we had been seeing as of late, not surprising at all.

Bioshock is a serious contender; deal with it. Additionally, not really sure why Watch Dogs is/was being considered GOTY material already, it doesn't look quite that amazing.
