Damn, somebody was talking about playing Renegade Ops and how nobody plays it anymore and the game IS fun, I totally forgot how chaotic it is.

I never thought it would be a good fit for multiplayer though...

I remember only playing it for some Christmas sale achievement the year before last and loving it so much I went and finished it.

Never played multiplayer, but I assume that's even more chaos.

I beat MP3 on console, and it was a game I had to force myself to complete. The story went nowhere, the combat wasn't particularly fun, and the slow walking...
Gunplay is fun, I'll give it that.
The only upside of constant cutscenes is I can alt-tab out and check out this thread.

Did something happen recently that is suddenly making everyone want a Spelunky sale?

I want one too. Wasn't really interested when it came out, but the fact that people still bang on about how good it is makes me know it has some nice legs and longevity to it, so I really want to pick it up now.

Spelunky is an awesome game. I have the old non-steam version and it's a lot of fun. Very well done too. When the HD Steam version goes on sale I'll certainly double dip to buy it again.

That's pretty good review, I think he has a future in the industry.

Oh god, I hope not. I need him to make enough money to support me when I finally succumb to senility.

I thought the issues with that game were slightly overblown.
They could have handled the situation better and been a bit more transperant, but the game was functional.

I don't see why they had to pull it. I already have about a bazillion games that end in cliffhangers because the devs were sure that they'd have funding for the next chapter.

I have read every post and have noticed that several GAFers really want to play this game ... So I decided to give it away, keep in mind that I have blocked several people who have been immature with the fact that I won this game, so they will not be able to participate ... They know who they are .. ;)

People were shitty to you for winning a raffle? That sounds really lame.

It looks like Mini Motor Racing EVO has cards now. Not sure if anyone mentioned that before.

Also, the opportunity to sign up for the Steam Machine hardware beta ends on the 25th so get on that if you haven't (most of you probably have).

Entered for DP since I have a friend who I will force to play it, finally. Couldn't get them to sit at the 360, but I know I can get them to sit at their PC. MWAHAHAHA

I've never played any of the Red Faction games, but am seeing the Indie Gala collection. Are they good games? Is it just a run and gun shooter, or something else altogether?

Yay a new thread.

A little over a week to gather more card money for DP. Only 5$ collected so far, selling cards is hard work.

I kind of agree with this. It was terribly handled but for that price point, the game had just about enough content even if the ending was 100% unsatisfying, or rather, didn't even exist. They should have mentioned it before starting to sell the game but that's about it.

Spelunky is the best game I've played in a long time. Almost at 100 hours on the Steam version even though I own it on Vita and 360. It has the most pure, tight mechanics of any platformer since Super Meat Boy.

Now that's very cool. Though it means you already knew when entering that you didn't really want to get it to play the game. Which sucks and was what I suspected and why people weren't happy. But that you're honest now is great and the end result is what counts. So props to you.

ow man, that sucks. It's just a game (the raffle and the game itself), some people take some things too seriously. In any case, thanks for the giveaway! :)

Whomever wins Deadly Premonition this time should modbot it again.
It could be like the Steam thread concert beachball.

Incidentally, I'm stalking you which is how I know you so well. Hope that's okay.

B-b-but I'M the one who's stalking YOU!

But seriously, it's always a pleasure to see your screenshots pop up on my feed and read your posts and impressions here on the forum. I also have nothing but respect for the way you put so many hours into games like XCOM, FTL and Mark of the Ninja: all games that I should really play more myself. In fact, it was because of you that I revisited FTL (a game I played for about 6 hours solid on release day - and then abruptly dropped for no good reason) and came to appreciate it anew. Thank you, fellow GAFfer!

Of course, then you go and spoil things by playing something like Bad Rats...

Bad kitty! Oh well, nobody's purrfect ;)

Yeah, I probably deserve blacklisting myself for that stupid pun...

Oh boy, I hope I win Deadly Premonition. I loved it on the 360 and I want to play it again!

Speaking of Deadly Premonition, I'm currently drinking a good cup of coffee, isn't that right Zach?

Aw man, I need to give something away just so I can enter these giveaways. I finished twin peaks last month and am still in a twin peaks mood.

I had an idea that I would be able to get some TF2 buds if I was to get all the cards I was eligible for and then buy keys for that. Thought I could play some games I hadn't touched by that point too.

I got bored very very quickly, so good luck to you.
