Both juniors and some how calling gaf cesspool back to back post.

Funny how comment like yours that brings the worst of gaf.

What the resolution of WIIU version?

We were referencing the news article on this which called neogaf a "cesspool"...
I know it's difficult atm but try keeping up with the thread

Earlier today I reordered PS4 killzone bundled and canceled my X1 preorder. I guess I made the right choice at least in the short term.

Still interested in the xbox, but not at 499, it's a $299 product.

Sorry if this has been answered already in other threads before. But has anyone ever had a general guess or ballpark estimate of how much cost the Kinect actually adds to the system? I never understood how Xbox One could be so much more expensive when the actual parts within the system seemed to be much lesser than PS4.

Can’t stump the diablos
The difference in performance between these two graphics cards is not huge. 50% stronger graphics performance is actually not a lot. On PC it results in around 20% higher frame rates on average - NOT a 720p vs 1080p difference.

The GPU isn't the only difference between the consoles.

I said in my post, "High-Quality textures", if textures quality remain current gen then yes X1 can handle that easily as the WiiU. but textures improves drastically to create more realistic graphics, in this case X1 will start having problems.
So the textures in Ryse are current gen? Really don't understand how a game that looks as bad as cod can have problems running even on the 360 or ps3. I mean if this rumor is true and it's because the x1 has issues, I will cancel my preorder and just enjoy my ps4. Hope it's not a hardware issue.

It doesn't make sense... Ryse is not running at 1080p ok, but at 900p, Forza 5 at 1080p60, DR3 at 1080p30, but a fugly game like Ghost can't run at 1080p? Seriously?

I don't say the rumor isn't true, I just say that the X1 really have enough power to make Ghost in 1080p60 happens... If the rumor is true, the dev team behind Ghost on X1 is clearly unqualified.

That's just looking at GPU speed and not the fact that one system has PC Video RAM to feed the GPU and the other has regular RAM with an ESRAM solution to feed the GPU. I think these devs at launch simply haven't massaged the use of the ESRAM properly yet.

It's going to be brutal until they get a grip on it and first party titles on XBO will be far and away superior to third party titles until that happens.

This news is very underwhelming but I'd already decided I'm going to stick with PC for the start of next-gen and flip my Day One, Xbox One. Might pick one up again when the inevitable Titanfall bundle hits. No way a PS4 or Xbox One will compete with a 7970 overclocked especially if mantle catches on. If the Xbox One can't pull off COD at 1080p, it's worrying indeed.

All right I'm officially out for the night

Climbing into my bunker

If anyone else makes it to tomorrow please let me know if we get confirmation

Good luck out there!

$100 or so I'm guessing. The Kinect is the sole reason I'm not getting an Xbone on release. Never used it for the 360 and I doubt I'd use it for the Xbone. It wouldn't even be plugged in.

When this gets confirmed, this is what will happen. The diehards who are still in denial that the xbone is weak are just going to turn their rage on IW saying they are terrible developers if they can't get their game to run on the amazing piece of tech that is the xbone.

So now people think they can get 60 FPS and 1080p? It's unrealistic for all games.

Not necessarily. People are upset because Microsoft chose to put COGS into a system to be a mini Windows 8.1 HTPC. It is part of Microsoft's consumer device initiative, and to that end Kinect and modern apps gobbled up COGS from GPU/games. I still don't know why they went DDR3 + whatever the hell EDRAM. It doesn't make up for it, it complicates development, and even if you put effort into developing with it in mind like Crytek I'll bet Naughty Dog will do something with PS4 that puts Ryse to shame.
