This is just the way it is now, folks. Manufacturing lead time and the constant tweaking of software features until the last minute leave us with day one updates like this. Not a big deal, unless the severs are too busy to dish out updates. That will suck.
So two things jumped out at me:
Streaming voice and self image with the camera when streaming games. Pretty nice for a console to be able to do this out of the box (or boxes since the cam is sold separately). Plus the voice and facial recognition. Sony hasn't touted this at all. We all know it won't be as robust as the Kinect but if it works for some basic features, then Sony can claim at least a little parity there, all while the camera is optional, relatively cheap and has a game loaded on every system. Camera is looking more and more attractive to me.
Secondly, major bummer that the suspend/sleep feature isn't there at launch. I really want that.
All in all - can't wait! Less than 3 weeks!
