Who's this clown and why people so quick to believe this? See him everywhere now, with everything anti microsoft and arguing with Penello.

This is huge and I doubt Microsoft, can slip up on something they already had.

This clown and his source's have got quite a few things correct regarding insider info.

Who the hell are YOU to say this shit, really?

Jesus Christ, don't shoot the messenger. If you don't want to hear insider info, why are you in this damn thread? Read the thread to figure out who these people are; it's been gone over ad nauseam.

He's a jr. guys. Go easy on him.

He posts less often than CBOAT it seems, but I don't believe he's ever been wrong about any rumor.
Yeah. I agree.

But from what each has revealed, I assumed they just have different types of access to information.

cboat is largely a Microsoft insider. He seems to have high level access to information regarding the Xbox. And probably deeper access to it, but he doesn't have as good access to anything regarding Nintendo or Sony.

While Matt as a multiplatform developer has all the devkit consoles, software and documentation.

I believe he is a bit above cboat level. Having never once come up with wrong info. Of course he posts alot less than cboat.

Oh, I know Matt is essentially spot on, but I didn't know he was considered above cboat in terms of credibility?

Or are people just playing?

Well, it's generally thought that CBOAT may be internal to MS. Matt has a more global perspective being part of a large third party multiplatform developer.

But you could be right that CBOAT is more intimately familiar with MS specific stuff. Matt is a more quantifiable entity than CBOAT, though; thus, you know what he claims ought to be true.

I have an Xbox1 on pre-order, but I'm starting to think paying $500 for the privilege of being a beta tester may not be the smartest thing I can do with my money (getting a PS4 as well when some of the Sony exclusives hit, likely when The Order drops). I still like a lot of the ideas behind the Xbox1, but its starting to sound like every division in Microsoft saw the Xbox Live and 360 installed user based and decided they wanted their piece of that sweet, sweet incremental services revenue.

  • Hey you guys have voice chat right, lets use Skype instead
  • Well we've built out Azure for cloud services, lets integrate that for...stuff
  • Entertainment division - Well we're already selling movies like iTunes, what if we could integrate with the TV services they are already hooked up to, then we could integrate web ad tracking with tv ad tracking
  • Why build a dedicated OS when we already have Metro for Windows 8?
  • What if we could use Kinect to sell conference call services to businesses?
  • etc...

I'm half surprised that we haven't heard that they are adding keyboard and mouse support so that they can sell Office 365 subscriptions for people's Xbox's, they seem to be just about the only division that isn't a stakeholder in this thing.

The idea behind a lot of this stuff is cool, but they seem to have lost the plot that at the end of the day this is supposed to be a games console, and if you're going to do all this incremental stuff you don't let it out of the oven until you have both the core function and user experience nailed. It's something that Apple inherently gets (at least for the last 10 years or so with a few notable exceptions...cough...Maps...cough...MobileMe), but Microsoft doesn't, and is why the 360 experience was their one consumer hardware success story over the last several years.

I'm reserving judgement until the console actually releases but right now the result is looking a lot closer to "The Homer" (when Homer tried to design a car for "the everyman") then the iPhone.

This post is golden on so many levels, and lol a Simpsons analogy, I had same argument with one of my friends who refuses to buy PS4 instead of One since we play a lot together on 360.

Being able to get an account is hard enough for GAF. I was more careful than this when I was junior a long while back. C'mon now..

Lol. I just gave the same exact explanation.

Guys, I really doubt MS would delay the X1 at this point. Too much marketing and skin in the game for that to happen.

At this point you just gotta take your punches.

Matt, is it possible the console could be delayed because of this?

Not a chance that would happen, at this point there has to be stacks of boxed Xbones sitting in distribution centers. No way they would delay the launch at this point. They would rather suffer through launch woes than delay it.

In regards to Dr. What's his face. Speaking of which, is it against TOS to make fun of Tweets now or is it just using them as sources?

I'm pretty sure its against TOS to make fun of people who don't have accounts here because they can't defend themselves is all. I'm not sure about the Twitter thing. I don't think Kevin Dent is actually supposed to be mentioned either since he's such a douche.

This is the best simplification of this mess. Good work.

He has an account. CBOAT smacked him down yesterday.

You know the guy who reports to the main guy who phones into the headquarters to get permission to talk to the head chief?

He's the janitor's dog that shits in the hallway all the time.

I thought he was a single cell in the dogs intestinal track. You give him too much credit.
